I have two clones going now that I just transplanted into 1 gal pots 3 days ago and will transplant again into 5 gal pots when I have more space in my grow room. I will be using the Fox Farms Trio on one and the Emerald Triangle line of nutes on the other and comparing results. so with that said here are the details....

The light for veg is a 125 watt cfl from hydrofarm. The flowering light will be a blackstar 240uv.

soil is harvest organic potting mix.
I will ph water before watering the plants only, not runoff or soil.

new1 009.jpg Here are the clones. both from the same mother Afghan Kush Special. The seeds were fem and the mother is Flowering so I know they are girls. The grey pot will be FF and the orange pot will be ET.

I will be using the ff trio and Cha - Ching and the Emerald Triangle nutes you see here. (Thanks to romeo I got the ET nutes for free)

I will be adding the first dose of nutes today.

newer1 004.jpg quick update. not much diffrence after one watering. the ET plant is about a quarter of an inch bigger. will water again tonight and update in a few days with better pics.

Awesome. Those two ladies are fuckin' beautiful. Looking forward to your not so Ph'ing Ph'ing. Cool stuff. :D

Thanks squid. I never used to care about ph at all and always had good results with photos. So I believe soil will buffer itself to a certain extent. I got the ph pen for autos but figured since I have it I should use it on them all.
I think they are pretty too. If you wanna see the mother they came from its being used in my breeding project. Link in my Sig.

I notices today that the bottles from ET leak from the top when the cap is on. I'm hoping its just the sample bottles that do this but I'm e-mailing them to ask.

The owner of ET emailed me back today and said
"I'm not sure what happend. We actually use an induction sealer to seal the bottles so they wont leak. Maybe UPS laid the box on it's side and then bounced it around in a truck,
Leaking bottles are a very rare occurance,"

So I'm not sure what to think at this point. I dont think that all the bottles would have been damagen in shipping without any visible damage to the box or bottles. this isnt a huge problem but I dont want to lose product to evaporation or when I shake the bottles before mixing.

ok so I got another email from ET. this time from a guy named Trevor Barcelos. Together we figured out that the problem was that the package sat outside in the cold for too long when it was delieverd. If I have to talk to this company directly in the future I will contact him and I advise anyone using these products to do the same. compare his email to the owners...

"Hey (my name) really sorry to hear that. We have in the past 10 years never had issues with leaking bottles so I was really shocked reading this email. I checked all the samples we have at the shop and they do not leak at all. It could have been due to rough handling by the carrier. Was the package damaged at all? We take a lot of pride in the quality of our bottles and seals so please let me know if they looked to be abused in shipping. Thanks for letting us know about the issue"

just seems more professional to me. like he has time and cares about the customer

nice follow up!Cant wait to see how those ever so sexy ladies are doing later on.Ya, sometimes it feels like some have more money than brains.LOL! :pop:

new1 001.jpg after 2 waterings the FF plant is taller but the ET is branching faster. both are healty but I did put some brown spots on the leaves with GoGnats. They are healing well and the damage wasnt that bad,

I transplanted both plants into 5 gal grow bags last night. They are doing good in the new pots so far. I will give each one a plain (ph'd) watering tomorrow and take pics.
