I know we have a bunch of hash makers here.

Have a washer--5 gal.

In the past, I have used the bucket and stir method with scraps.

I prefer dry. Last time I used semi-dry = a pile of spinach. It was a bust.

Have one whole seeded plant and 1/2 of another.

What do you think for water hash--dry or fresh.

Thanks all

did ya get one of them rv washers i was looking at?

id dry it real good and then id break up the seeded bud and deseed it then freeze the broke up bud

that's how i would do it cause i would think that the seeds would leave a funky taste in the hash

if you did get a washer like i was looking at there's videos around the net but the one i seen ya load a layer of ice then layer plant material then ice then plant then ice see the pattern then top off with waterrun and drain into bags collect hash dry it chopped fine on a plate then repeat

they make a "wash bag" to run inside those washers but seems quality is hit or miss

I've done it both ways and as dry as a popcorn fart seems to be best.

High!

:Sharing One:
I have a load of trim, popcorn nuggs etc.., super dry...forgot to freeze them.
Is it to late for water hash? Worried of too much contamination, cloaging?

Peace!

Should be fine man.

Thanks to all commenters.

All in all looks to be dry/froozen is best.

Going to do a test run with a small batch. Just to get the feel of using the washer.

Sniper. What I bought is called a Base Camp. Then ordered the Bubble Bag for the washer separately. Looks like good quality. The regular mini washers just appeared to be better constructed than the single purpose canna washers. And it was a less expensive combo.

Reviewed some of the videos online. Everyone has their own modified technique. Does appear ice in the wash bag is important. Use store bought ice. Water is hard out here. Some hash makers only use their own made ice. You know how it is in canna preparation and growing--more than one way to do it and everyone has their own special method etc.

ill be interested on how it goes

yeah they do look better built and close to half the price and ya got the bag too good deal

see the video i seen the dude didn't use the wash bag and just ran it out the drain hose and into regular bubble bags

that wash bag will be nice though just dump it in a bucket and reload with ice and herb

You got that right Sniper. The insert bag will save time and clean up. Still not looking forward to the clean up. The MagicButter machine looked like a hassle to clean. It is so well designed cleaning is a breeze--in fact, quicker than the stove top method.

Will let you know how it goes. Using the Dragon bits and pieces. The remaining two in the tent have been on water for a week or more. One is yellowing like an egg yolk. It is just the pistils are not drying out with color. Could be the strain (sour + a kush cross). Checking with scope--thought would try to let them ripen with all cloudy + a good deal of amber.

i like fresh frozen the best for my hash making, seems like a get a cleaner seperation with it. only thing about using dry frozen is ive had it break up to much and my hash turn out real green and not as melty. def need to watch your spin times with dry frozen i prob wouldnt do more than 5min runs.

what about the seeds in the buds killa i know lots say fresh frozen is best
