Hey all, so I'm on my second grow and I'm gearing up for a small grow with 8 babies and I'll be using soil. I had some difficulties on my first grow with the ph. So my question is, how does everyone else go about obtaining fresh clean water for your girls? I used to just boil tap water but I don't think that was beneficial and it ate up a lot of my time. So if everyone could help me out and give me some ideas as to where or how you acquire your fresh water for your girls. Thanks, I appreciate it!

You have several options. First is bubbling your tap water. You can set up a container, a 20 gallon garbage can work well, and put a couple of air stones in the bottom. The bubbling will eliminate any chlorine from the tap water and oxygenate it. However I would recommend you check with your water company and see if they are using chloramine instead of chlorine. Bubbling won't eliminate chloramine. Another option is to capture rain water. Unless you live in an area that has acid rain, rain water is one of the best sources you can use. Installing a reverse osmosis filter is another. RO will filter out any contaminates but also removes most of the minerals. So if used, a cal/mag supplement is needed to replace the lost minerals. Lastly, you can buy RO or distilled water at places like WalMart. But that can get expensive with a lot of plants.

I leave my tapwater overnight, on the advice of a few people on this site. What are your opinions on that Muddy?

That works well, but bubbling it is even better. Helps to bring more oxygen to the roots.
