Outdoor froghoppers, spitbugs

I've been getting little lumps of what look like spit on my girls, auto ak's mainly on the ones closest to harvest, which is a bitch because its causing them to mold. also some plants have been eaten, lots of holes on the fan leaves, mostly my photos have been ok, just my autos.
It seems that this is caused be froghoppers or spitbugs, ive even seen the little bastards.
If i dont find a way to get rid of the little feckers i will loose my plants i think.
Any ideas?

Boil some water throw in some fresh crushed garlic & onion stir it and let it cool. Spray your plants and surrounding area with it but dont get any on your buds. Iv been trying neem on my outdoor girls for the last few weeks its been a waste of time. Since I sprayed the g&u most of the munching has stopped thers definitely less pests around. Dont get any of the liquid on you either or you will stink for days no matter how much you wash.

i might try the garlic and onion, but what i did with the spit that was already on the plants was, get a wet j cloth and wipe it off.
i will loose a little bit of bud, but not much.
