Hey guys, first grow here. Everything was going smooth up until around the end of week 5. Then I noticed all the new growth around bud sites were coming out a very pale green yellow combo. My new growth before was light green but it looked healthy growth. So they got there second feed of fox farm at 1/4 strength . And I switched my bloom switch on with my veg switch on my led to start flowering properly. The light is a viparspectra 450w and when in veg I had it as close as 18 inches with no issues. When I hit the bloom button as well I moved it up till 24 inches. Heat at canopy in veg was around 24-25c and in bloom it went upto 27c. Heat around bottom of pots went from 22c till around 23.5c with bloom on. Humidity was around 55 the whole time. So a few days past and I was noting slow growth and the pots seemed pretty heavy still. I thought I'd give it 1 more night and see, next morning I had slight taco leaves so checked soil ph with a probe and it said 4.3ph so I was confused and did a flush. The next day I had taco leaves. Drooping leaves on lower half off plant. New growth around bud sites was still that pale yellow colour plus the new growth looked pathetic. The fans leaves at bottom were clawing in like closing your hand. No idea what's going on because so many things at once. Any help would be great thanks. Last photo was just before I noticed the pale new growth around bud sites.

What type of soil are you using?Feeding at 1/4 strength shouldn't cause clawing so thats strange.4.3 ph is very low and this could cause your problems.Did you ph your flush at correct ph?If your pot is heavy let it dry out some so the roots get more oxygen.Next feed I would still use veg nutes with added cal/mag.New growth always looks a little pale green but as it grows some it will turn darker so this is normal. All this correction takes alittle time to show up so just hang in there.

Thanks for the reply, I'm using black magic potting mix and yeah I adjusted my ph and now the soil is reading 6.7 yeah I know what you mean about it takes a while for the new growth to darken up but something just doesn't look right with new growth, nearly as if it has a glaze to it. Maybe Im just reading into it too much. And iv haven't water since the flush as I was wanting it to dry out. I'm just mind boggled how the ph of soil dropped so low till 4.3 when just a few days prior I checked it and it was around 6.5

Looks like a bit of heat stress, I would raise my lights a little. If you have a fan make sure it's not blasting the hot air down onto the girls.
Move things around a little to sort it out.

Sent from my comfy chair.

:toke:... how are you checking in-pot pH?.... 4.3 is really bad, but I'm wondering about the accuracy of that reading,.. in any case it's too low even if it's in the 5's actual pH,.. this is lockout range for several nutes... paling is likely P defc., maybe S or both,.. usually such top paling out is a micronutrient defc., either from alkaline pH lockout or lack of,... if you haven't been feeding much, this still may be in play... and the flushing may make that part worse, but it was necessary to fix that bad pH!

...which FF nutes are you using, Grow, Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom? Have you been feeding regularly?.... the lower symptoms look like older defc. damage, or did that happen recently as well? That could pass for either K or P defc.,.... and depending on your info, could be from the pH hiccup, or lack-of, even both... what happens is if the soil pH goes out of range, certain nute's become unavailable for uptake (changes in chemistry, plants are very specific in what forms they can absorb), so even if it's present,. it may not be absorbable,...
the bowing is more uncertain,.. mimics N tox, but other co-symptoms aren't there... but the plant is deeper green than usual, bud set seems poor ( too much N can do this), so pending the info requested we'll see if it's N related,...

Thanks for the replies everyone. I checked the ph in the soil with a probe but after a lot of reading it seems they are very inaccurate so iv decided to upgrade. Yeah I was using ff tiger bloom, grow and big bloom. To be honest I would have thought I was under feeding them as I was always worried to over do it being I couldn't get my head around is it us gallons or what, plus I seen some schedules saying teaspoons and others tablespoons. I now have purchased plagron alga grow and bloom and it's a lot easier to use. I also got some calmag just in case. I think I created the problem by watering them with cold water then switching the led light to bloom, because after that watering the plant stopped taking up water and with the extra heat on full spectrum fried it a bit? I know I'm a idiot in the first place for using cold water but you live and learn. Also the soil I used does not state if it's ph stable. Just bought some biobizz light mix for next time though. Do you think the paling at bud sites is down to not feeding enough? Thanks

Probes can be accurate, I know mine is because I stuck it into a glass of water and tested the same water with a calibrated pH pen. Both read the same, so that says my probe is accurate.

Not all are, however, it can be very much luck
