Im completely new to hydro growing, have a few soil grows under the belt. I was given an EcoGrower by General Hydroponics by my cousin.

Its missing a few parts, its missing:

- The air pump
- The hose connected to the air pump
- Clay pebbles
- 3 part Flora kit
- The CocoTek liners and caps are pretty beat up and look like they need replacing

So my problem is i dont know where to get replacement parts for this. My other problem is i never grew hydroponically and i need advice/help to get started. It seems like a great system and i would hate to put it to waste. I have searched the forum briefly. but very few of my questions were answered. Im browsing more in depth now but would love some help.

If anyone could help me out with parts and/or advice/help i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much in advance to anyone that can help me out.

I'm currently experimenting with Water Buckets. Love 'em! I also inherited them from my brother...actually a complete Water Farm! But I broke it down into individual units.

Hey - I've been looking into waterfarms too :)
The ones i've seen have all been single plant buckets though!

I couldn't get those links to load buddy - what is it you are looking for??

All the best

Blue ^_^

Blue,
Until I can demonstrate to myself that I can handle a "SINGLE BUCKET", I'll leave the big reservoir & controller alone. But I think I'm starting to get the hang of it, before long I hope to have a drip system to rival that of Truu! I've also discovered it works well with coco instead of the dastardly Hydroton!

First let me say I am very happy with the unit. Setup is easy but takes considerable time to rinse growing media. The unit works perfectly. But here's what is not disclosed about the unit in its description
:1. The growing media must be thoroughly rinsed before placing in the unit. Otherwise small chips and dust could block or restrict flow of nutrients/water through the tubes;
2. It is recommended in setup directions that the 17 gallon reservoir which holds water & nutrients be drained & replaced every 1 to 2 weeks depending upon plant growth. If you don't have the time or desire to commit to this maintenance schedule than this is not for you. There is also the minor costs involved with replacing nutrients. For example I'm using my unit to grow habanero peppers & a couple of tomato plants. If I buy the three types of required nutrients in the 32oz size, my cost to drain & replace nutrients four times a month is about $4.00 dollars US. Considering the maintenance schedule to drain & replace water & nutrients, you should plan on where you intend to place your unit so maintenance can be done easily.

I would think this would be a great set-up.Especially if you are doing non-feminized. Then you could eliminate about half and have plenty of room for 3 or 4 plants.
I'm surprised that it has nothing for aieration, although it would be easy to retro fit using a larger pump for both.
1000 bulbs in their hydro section sells some of the parts...decent price. I retro fitted my 3 1/2 gallon pots with the drip ring set.
