When mixing the BioBloom and CalMag at desired strength it takes my 7.8ph tap water down to 4.6ph. I gave one plant this mix as it is recommended on the bottle to not PH the solution, it just seems like 4.6 is to low. So I ph'd the solution to 6.8 for another plant to see if there is any difference. To anyone that uses this product do you PH?

Last three grows using the whole biobizz line never PhD but always knew my water is 6.2ph out the bottle. Never had any problems but my current grow is struggling and looks like PH lock as I've upped my nutes and still getting worse.

Interesting as that seems to be the general thing I stumble upon when doing google searches. Some don't ph with no problem while others don't ph and encounter a lockout. Though I have yet to stumble upon someone who did PH adjust their solution and ran into a problem so I may be leaning towards doing a ph adjustment. Running a small experiment now as all my plants are showing deficiencies. 1st plant got a non ph adjusted feed of 4.6. 2nd plant got ph adjusted with baking soda to 6.8. 3rd plant ph adjusted to 6.4 with wood ash. Probably would have gone lower with the baking soda one but that is just where it landed after the nutes were stirred in. Whichever plant recovers the quickest will be the way I'll run with it. Really hoping for the wood ash and GO mix to be the winner, as adding sodium to the soil just seems wrong albeit in tiny amounts, though if the non adjusted plant takes it home, I'm happy with that as well.

Indeed, the strain im growing right now has almost drained all the lower 1/3 of leaves even tho she's been on 4ml of bloom and 3ml grow either a hungry plant or lockout I can assume.

Im going to up her bloom next feed will report back here as I may start doing PH if it will avoid me future headaches with future grows as I really do like biobizz especially the Bio Heaven that's makes a big difference to buds [emoji847]

Let me know how she goes, I'll keep this thread updated with the findings.

The wood ash mix had the quickest recovery time of them all. The non adjusted solution had zero change, the baking soda did improve but the wood ash was very noticeable within 12 hours that it liked it. Though I've found I sometimes require a substantial amount to raise the PH so I just add a tsp per liter and if that isn't enough a pinch of baking soda usually brings it to where it needs to be. Have been doing a large plain water feed every 4th feed though as to keep the PPM down a bit. I've mixed up the soil for my next grow and have included the wood ash in the mix so I'll attempt non ph'd feeds in that mix as the soil should technically be able to adjust for it.
