Germinating Seeds/Seedlings

What soil do you guys germ your seeds in? do you just directly plant in the main pot they're going to grow in? or do you have a seedling soil mix and they veg in there and get transferred into their final home?

Alot do it different, but I have had great success with a 24 dunk in water then into coco, or a peat pod. As of late I have started a few right into a cup full of hydroton then filling it 1/3 with water after said 24 dunk.

I use the paper towel method transfer to peat pots filled with seedling mix or straight coir. About a week after germination I put the peat pots/seedlings into their final pot(s). As Tbag says everyone has their own way of doing it.

soak for 12-20 hours then 1/2 inch down no more and kept decently moist but not quite wet. warm temps and proper distance from light. thats what your looking at to germ. i personally dpnt like the Paper towel method much,although it does work well. I just soak then sow to the main pot or tiering cup.
