Hello, i want to Grow the SourHound Strain but the Seed dont Germinated :-( 3 Days bevore i put the Seed in Water Glas that is what i do all the time i wait when the Seed pops and than i put it direct in the Soil Works 100% for me but ehen the Seed not pops there is no reasen to put it in soil ore paper towel i never use the paper towel method in mother nature the seed falls directly in the soil and thats it...

I dont know whats going on with the SourHound Seed but i loose also 2 Strains bevore WalterWhite and Heisenberg Special both wont Germinated also :-( i know i do nothink wrong but it sucks normaly after 12-24 Days all seeds pops and 3 Days later the Plant shows his first leafs thats why dont understand why the Sour Hound dont germinated :-( i have a Second Seed in my freezer so a Second chance... so know 3 days and nothink happens how much time i wait bevore i put this seed away and start a new one?

I'm relatively new to this growing thing but I use the paper towel or toilet paper method, which emulates nature and I have had great success with it. I have seen others drop the seed in water, as you do, but I don't really understand what is being accomplished with that action. On my current grow , I had a Double Grape that took a long time to show but it finally did, seems like it was four days after going into soil. I have learned a valuable lesson about being impatient and will generally wait a little longer. Since you are having issues with several strains you may want to look at the way the seeds are being stored. If you are freezing them maybe you could let them sit out for a while before going into water or soil, not an expert on this by any means and I always use fresh seeds. Good luck with your project.

I’ve always stored my seeds in a nickel bag at room temp, germ in water for 15-18 hours popped or not it goes directly in the soil. I have 100% germ rate using this method.

I let them soak in water so long when the seed shels break so simple and never have a problem with that most of the time 12-24 hours and the tap root come out than in soil and that's it... Store in freezer is a good idea I always do it with no problems. So waiting know ore new seed?

im no seed germing expert but i always use a paper towel in a ziploc bag with just a spray or two of water pop in a dvd case and leave sum where warm and it useally takes no more than 48hrs for them to crack i think freezing the seeds is risky incase they get damaged thawing out try somthing different than your normal way what you got to loose best of luck :thumbsup::thumbsup:

check out the mephisto germ guide. Much like @stoney T method. It's how I do mine, always have, it's fairly fullproof.
you say you are keeping the seeds in the freezer? Are you letting them come to room temp before dunking them?

No, directly in water but never have an issue :) but know they won't pop I hope she pop I don't want to lose that nice strain... I don't need Mephisto gem tech because i always have 100% success with my method.

It's not 100% anymore though eh.
I know it's hard to leave old habits, but sometimes it's good to switch it up.
Good luck fella

why not just throw it into the soil at this point? I'm not a big fan of waiting for germ before potting. This seems to be your strategy once you get a taproot, anyway, I think.. just take the germ element out and throw it in.

When you’re freezing your seeds you’re also freezing the moisture in the seed. When you’re freezing and go directly into another climate that’s warmer than the freezing cold you go into a shock now granted you’ve had experience with this before not every strain reacts the same to the same methods. Try it from a different approach and you might just surprise yourself.
