Hey guy's I'm doing a current grow now with a 400w hps 3 autoxtremes and a 120x120x180, But I want to do 4 autoxtremes next time in the same tent but I want a higher yeild so shall I move up to a 600w hps or will the 400w be okay ??

Cheers

Happy Growing people

If your tent can handle the increase in heat go with a higher wattage light. More light = Bigger yields, so long as you can keep the rest of the environment in check. IE: humidity and heat.

Yeah okay cool well I will be using a cool tube refector so that will reduce the heat a bit I know 600w can give off a lot of heat

I don't know if a 600 HPS would give you that much more yield or not.It sure wouldn't hurt to try and see what happens.Maybe someone else will be along to give there opinion.

Hmmm I know where your coming from, maybe it's best to use a 600w if your growing more than 4 plants but if I'm only growing 4 just stick to a 400w??

unless you already have the cooltube, don't waste your money. The light dispersion of the cooltubes is terrible. If you can, spend the money and get an aircooled hood, one with the glass plate in the bottom. They give you much better light dispersion, and a bigger footprint for coverage area. If your using a cooltube now, you'll likely get a better harvest by upgrading to a good hood to use with that 400 watt light. That way, if you ever want to upgrade to a higher wattage light, you'll also already have a quality hood. All the light that the cooltube scatters to the sides will be directed downward by the hood.

I use a SunSpot 6 and it does a great job at reflecting the light. Had a friend who was using a cool tube and after seeing mine he switched also.

Yeah I got a cool tube and it degrades the amount of light loads so I am deffo up grading to a cool hood, When I set up the tube and seen how much difference in light it made I was gutted and thought I should of got the hood. I will be investing in one asap cheers!

Yeah they are much better for reflecting light I regret buying the tube now lol

Penetration being everything, I'm using a pair of 400w in 4x4x7. I got buds all the way to the floor and limbs breaking due to the weight (Harvest on Friday).

She ain't perty, but she's mine! LOL!! :Sharing One:
