Lighting Give me your input for my next grow!

I do not think that's the problem .. my last round I ran with 2 * 400 hps and 24/0 and did not have this problem at all .. so should not be that girls need more sleep, but maybe it's something in led lights missing yet or other...

Just my thoughts

im sure Tang said this is due to toomuch light reducing lights form 20 hrs to 18 hrs seems to have rectified the cal problem with autos and leds, the full 20 is too much i guess no enoguh time at night to process the chemicals needed, eg
n particular, lowering the EC at night is most beneficial for calcium uptake - calcium uptake and distribution is favored at night when xylem sap pressure can drive water and calcium into the low or non transpiring tissues such as enclosed leaf tips and fruits. It is well known that calcium is incorporated into the inner heading leaves of vegetables and other plants more abundantly at night than during the day and this is also the case with calcium transport into tomato fruit.

thuss more hours of night will allow the plant to use calcium, 20 hrs light doesnt merely cover the need for it, so therefore adding more to your nute line is just un nessesary, as its there... just the plant can not use it.

works the same with us too btw, mag needs to be taken at night, to work in our bodies and a good sleep to make it work (although in humans if i take mag with calcium is cancels it out our bodies, eg a cup of tea of most pills for mag have calcium fillers, rendering the pill supliment useless ... useless fact lol want a good night sleep dotn have a cupa tea 2 hours prior to sleep )
plants can absorb calcium and mag together though, so dnt worry just my facts lol,

then id see it as most people overwatering plants slightly too high on feeds under a less intense light, causing a lockout of cal, easily done, and this is info from quantams led company

but id stil stick with the 18,

i do believe in 20-24 hrs light, as the mains reason we did this in the first place is cause cannabis is a c4 type of paknt where as most plants 80% of them are c3's,
being a c4 means they absob co2 in the day not the night, meaninin they dont need asmany hours dark as a normal plant (there normal co2 cycle at night) but i can see toomuch light being ghiven havign adverse effects, ive been a hps grower for about 15 years now, tested alot of light times, can be strain dependant but normaly ive foudn ill start at 22hours for 2 weeks and finnish veg on 20 at 4 weekor 18 by 6 week seemd to work best, sometimes its not an immideate or a definate problam just a slight change eg i had weeker stalks or the buds woudl foarm different in flower, some effects the plant lateron as veg is prep for everything in flower,
as for autos ive had no cal problems showing up on this run yet and all ive done is swaped 2 hours more dark... so :S i think im gona have to do soem propper testing to see its the only way , everyones opinions until tested will be very opinionated only, so, my next grow im gona do a 20hr light, but 3 of my 6 plants same strain i will box 3 at 18 hrs to test what happens,
as you said too your curious is the hps will sort it out or not... so its a game of testing we need, not realy opinions :)

this dude is gona rock this grow off anyways and im sure everythign will go smoothe
