Btw, I remove the potatoes before each feeding and place them in a bowl of HP or soapy water. Make sure you wipe away any larve you see on the potatoes if you use soapy water.

Interesting technique, thanks for the tip! I solved the issue by laying a couple of small plates with vinegar and they landed there by the dozens. Then I just kept manually killing the ones I saw and eventually they were nearly all gone.

I picked up some 29% peroxide last week, but it is not clear whether people are using 5:1 of that, or the 3% peroxide drugstore variety. Can you clarify?

I've only used fresh 3% HP, it goes bad after seal is broke. It will also go bad towards the end of it"s shelf life. I know nothing of the 29%, but it sounds like you need to be a math guy to figure out the ratio.

Larvae decimated my seedlings even though I only found around 10 adult gnats on the sticky papers, leading me to wonder if the little buggers were imported with a bag of soil. I suppose each one of them could have laid hundreds of eggs.

It only takes one adult to lay the eggs, but I have heard of growers finding them in new medium, (mainly in soil).

Oh yeah- I live on one of the many leaky townhouses that were built by greedy contractors in the mid 80's. No obvious leaks, but very high humidity and mould loves this place. So, I am also going to treat all of the corners and seams of the closet with anti-fungus Kilz Paint and Sealer.

Tennessee Valley here, so I know about the heat/humidity. I live in a mobile home, (emphasis on bile ), and I have at least one sticky trap in every room.

I have to get this right- dispensary prices are ripping me off and I really need to have a harvest this August.

for the clarification. 1:9 will get me around 3%, then one more dilution. I will easily have enough to treat 4 pots to runoff.

At that 29% its shelf life is better. It's dangerous stuff though and will oxidize lots of things. A drop would ruin a pair of jeans or burn some skin off.
