I've just started a grow using gold label hydro coco.. i removed around 20 % of the clay pebbles so it wouldn't be as free draining and put it in a 25 ltr fabric pot..
Im hand watering with a drain/ tray set up to catch and measure quantity/ EC
It was run through with around 30 ltrs of water ph'd to 5.8 prior to a pre sprouted strawberry blue in a jiffy plug ,planted in 5 days ago,
Im a little confused at the run off EC , it is 1.2 though the water going in is only at .5
Ive put 5ltrs of water through with around 50 % return to waste for the past two days with the same EC readings..
I was under the impression the gold label had no nutrient value,
Ive a white widow in a 70/30 coco / perlite mix in the same tent, same drain/ tray setup.. the EC readings on this one are fine , .5 in and .5 out... though its just had its first feed this evening, it was still going in at .7 and .7 coming out.
Just a little apprehensive at starting to give the strawberry any nutrients as it looks like there is already something in the mix with the readings im getting,
Excuse the long winded post... im just enjoying the fruits of the last grow, the white widow has a real rush about it,
