So I bought 2 bags of roots for the next grow. I had a bag in a tote but don't remember if I put lime in it or not so am tossing it in the garden to be on the safe side. I still have some super soil I will be putting in the bottom of my pots but will not be using much. 1 bag I will be using as my base soil and will have about 1/3 gallon of steer manure and about 1/4 cup lime added to it. Next bag will get the same but will have 1/4 cup bat guano and bone meal added and about 1 table spoon of azomite. Will be planting in about 2 or 3 weeks. Mixing soil today. It's a little early to plant in but will be ok as I have done it before. Not sure on strain yet. What ever it is it will be fem. Will probably be planting in #15 nursery pots. Will fill bottom with about 2 gallons of super soil "sub cool recipe" followed by lower half with hot mix and base on top. Going to be using bottled water whole grow. Growing under a 600 hps cool tube. Might use a MH for first 30 days. Not sure though. I have only used the MH 1 time. It's a 7,200k and I think it is to faring the blue spectrum so am undecided. Need to get a new MH bulb that's not so blue. Have to wait on a harvest tell I can start. Will post updates as things progress.

K so have to get a tote for the hot mix but base is mixed up. Ended up doing 1/2 gallon steer manure and 1/3 cup lime. Still need to add water to it. Put tote in side house in laundry room to cook. I don't remember how much lime I put in base soil last go so am going a little lighter than I think I did last grow. I think it ended up being 1/2 cup lime and 1/2 cup crush oyster shell. Either way I ended up having a little too much calcium in the mix last go. Will probably add some oyster shell to the hot mix though.

Well mixed up the hot layer. Ended up doing 1/3 cup lime, 1/4 gallon steer manure, 1/4 cup bat guano, 1/4 cup bone meal, 2 ounces of rock phosphate, 2 teaspoons azomite, 2 teaspoons of epsom salt, and an 8 quart bag of some cheap worm castings. Will see how this grow goes and make adjustments next grow. Also decided on my strains to grow. As I was unable to get my northern lights auto from my friend and will not have those seeds in time I decided to grow Red dwarf and a Purple Kush both from Buddha seeds. Should be great as I have grown both and am super familiar with PK. The Purple Kush is quiet sensitive to being over fed especially nitrogen and the Red dwarf likes being fed a little more than a lot of autos I have grown so should be a great grow. Ones a light feeder and the other is a heavy feeder.

With just my base soil I am able to go 30- 40 days in a 2 gallon pot with out nuts so even though my hot soil I am using in the bottom half is light I think it should be pretty close to good with the size of pots I am using. If not I would rather under feed than over feed and add some nuts mid bloom than burn my plants and have to flush. I know a lot of people have asked about using super soil with autos so I am going to figure out how to do it. The super soil is off for autos but I like a veg and bloom layer of soil.

Well added an 8 quart bag of worm castings to my base soil today this now brings my base and hot soil to around 9.5 gallons a piece.

Soaked the seeds last night. They will be going in the paper towel today. I ended up soaking Red dwarf and Purple Kush both from Buddha seeds. I have to move my seed project out of the grow space to make room for them and so I can change the light cycle back. O ya any one interested I am going to be showing how I re veg a plant soon. Going to re veg the seeded plant after I harvest the seeds from it and have a friend pull some clones before I kill it. The seeded plant is also full organic and only has had bottled water full grow. Its the plant in my avatar.

When my plants sprout I will start taking pictures of every thing. Going to be an interesting grow as I am still figuring out my mix.

Seeds popped today but the wife has the phone so no pictures. I put them in 1.5 or 2 gallon pots. Not totally sure on the size. I watered the soil yester day to moisten and today before I dropped the seeds and covered seeds with 8 ounce clear glasses as I am out of plastic wrap. The seeds are under the 600 HPS about 2 feet away and under 12/12 due to my seed project being in the room. I work today so I don't have enough time to move every thing. When seeds sprout I will put them under there normal light cycle of 20/4. Around day 30 or so I will be transplanting in to there finishing pots. The pots I used are to large to do a transplant at week 3 like I normally do. I did a transplant at day 30 on my last auto grow and it worked out great so I am going to see if it works out good for me again. I think it will work good and did last time as my mix in the starting pot is mixed for veg and the finishing pot is a mix of veg and bloom. I will repost in about 2 or 3 days when the sprouts break the surface.

So 1 has come up so far. I did not pay attention to what plant is what because it will be pretty obvious once things are in pre flower. Still have to move my seed project tonight to another room and switch the light timer. I have to fill one of the finishing pots with some soil to make sure I have enough. If not I might have to use a smaller pot. Dose not look like I have much base soil left.
