I have recently found the love of autos. This seems like a great place to hang out and share.

I have some years experience growing regular cannabis plants but very limited experience with autos. Hopefully I can pick up some tricks from you auto pros along the way.

Currently I'm growing several types of cannabis.
Dinafem white widow autos
Dinafem kush and cheese autos
TGA Jesus OG
TGA dairy queen
Next generation island sweet skunk
Local dj short blueberry x rhino cross
Local Mandela hashberry cross


I have a garage with a few grow areas.

Main flower room is 6x4 poly enclosure, with a 1kW on light rail. Five Jesus OG s , one BB x rhinos, one iss, one kush and cheese auto

Veg tent is a 4x4 grow tent with a 6 bulb 4' HoT5 all veg bulbs. Three ww autos, one kc auto, one of each photo strain listed at the top.

Secondary veg/cloningg area is a wood cabinet I built that is 36" tall and 28 x 12 is housing 3 kc autos atm and is lit by 2 x 23w & 2 x 55w cfls.

All growing areas have autos in them. But the one in the 12/12 room is super stretching and just ugly lol... i chalk that up to the light schedule.


I'm going to make some journals to track everything. I would love all the feedback I can get , I take criticism well don't be afraid to call me out please.

I do have a couple questions.

1. Has anyone grown autos on 12/12 with success?

2. Has anyone noticed that autos don't really like an environment change?

3. Does pot size determine life span? I.e. age, budding and growing time...

Hello welcome to AFN ...We are here to help...12/12 No I havent but autos are fast and I want to feed it as much light as I can ...

2 Like what? they dont like their roots played with and must be careful with transplants if thats what you mean.

3 If you have good genetics/stable they should finish at the right time if all the right temps and feeding ect is done..some strains may have a few different phenos depending on the F1 F2 ect, most autos will be about 3feet super autos taller.

Only reason I ask about 12'12 is that I'm running out of room in current cab and may have to move from 24-0 to 12-12.
I have one kush and cuz auto that got 4 feet tall, and these young ones look similar. The one in my photo bud room is taking forever and super stretchy.

About environment changes. I have moved the kush n cuz around and usually looks sad for a few days in New home.

I was hoping smaller containers would give quicker results but I guess it's mostly strain dependant right?

You can run autos at 12/12 but plants will be smaller. Peace....
