So, Waxi is going CoCo. Every word I've read makes me believe that THIS is the perfect combination of my love for "earth in hand" and the VROOOM of hydro/DWC that I've experienced. I've been planning a rig. Bought a 7.5 gal cooler for an out-of-tent rez. Will use a 4x4 tray, draining to waste, on one side of my 4x8 tent (If all goes as projected, I can double the rig, and utilize my ebb&flow barrel for a rez..)
My inquiry, fair CCNs....

What is the "right" drip head/spike/ring thingee to make this into a righteous quest??? What say you? Please? And, much thanks!

I don't know. But I reallly want to learn to put in a drip if I ever get my 4x4 table up and running again.

Sorry waxinus. I'm just no help

How many plants are you growing bro? You would need a manifold that has however many water line outlets youd need. Then a line that runs to each pot, then a stake to hold it in place, and some type of emitter... you could make a drip ring yourself with some tubing and like 3 holes poked in it. The holes just need to be big enough for water to flow out easily. Theres some nice drippers out there tho that spread the water much more evenly.. they probably work better too but i went the cheap route since i bought too much tubing lol.

I don't always run a drip... but when I do..
I prefer a dripcap.
These are made for a rockwool cube.
But I cut the corners off and use it for my Airpots.

The left one has the corners cut off, the right is in original shape.
The cap has 4 drip holes on the underside.

It is used with 1/4" hose.

Here is what it looks like in a 2 gallon(red bottom) Airpot.

I use organics, and this method has never clogged on me yet.
Good luck in your coco venture!:Sharing One:

What's the size of those air pots? 3gl?

Because I love ya waxi... Copied from one of my older threads.

Alright so I've basically got the same thing going as I had last time, but with some new gear in effect on this grow. We'll start with my home made drip ring. 1/4" drip tubing with 4 1/8th" holes drilled on bottom side of ring. Connect on both ends with a T and you are good to go. The water doesn't actually "drip" out of the holes. It shoots out at a steady flow, not overpowering. I put rocks about a 1/4" under the drip holes so that the water doesn't make a hole in the coco. The ring in the pic is about 3" in diameter. You can make the ring any size you need and drill as many holes as you need. My pots are small so I use a small ring.

Thanks for sharing the love, Brother truu! THIS is my kind of drip emitter! I will be making these, for sure!
JAYAR, I'm starting with a 4x4 table, on one side of my 4x8 tent. 4 plants, in 2 gal containers, methinks :)

Truu`s drippers are tried and tested
I have basically used the same type for many years..

An alternative dripper could be
Hydro halo 6" drip Thanx to kudo

Subd.. Looks like, my winter coco reading, just got alot easier
Happy growing Waxi
:goodluck:

That's 5 star review, methinks, K! Gracias :)
I've ordered whats needed to get a 4 ring setup put together. Next, its flood tray stand engineering... Think I'll go 2x4 for the frame. If I end up going the full 4x8 of the tent, I'll probably get one of those PVC leg kits, and use PVC for a permanent fixture.
I will have this ready to go for my next photo run. Might have to install it in the 4x4 tent for veg, but I'll figure it out :) I'll post some pics once the "manufacturing phase" begins.
Thanks for all the help, Peeps!

Just a thought...
If u have the time to get creative

And running d.t.w (Drain to waste)

Another alternative to flood table
You can use
One bigger bucket in a smaller bucket "Square in round is the easiest"
Leave your res outside the tent = cooler res ( if possible)

Picture below is
5L round
6L square
20150112_182621.jpg20150112_182630.jpg

Collect the waste water and throw out
No need to build the flood table

Running recirc

Drainage + hose in the round.. (Table is needed)
One plant one res
