Grow bags work great add some extra holes and let them grow, u can make it a airpot just by more hole I use them well I use about everything available and I've had nothing but great things in grow bags, reusable, washable, write on them, cheap, and get a lot for few bucks and all shapez and sizes offered. Several grows on here using them.

Just lift her up if takes two hands she has plenty if it's one hand time to water, least how I do it. @archie gemmill got me turned on to them by watching his grows I saw amazing results and made a stab at it myself and have been happy with my new pots ever since. Imo before unfolding the bag I poke about 50 holes in it then filler up. Also I watch for water running out of the bottom in the middle of the bag that's when I know it's watered good,

Have tried the poke me finger in,ten minutes later im still fingering and none the wiser.lift up pot is all i can understand.a spare potted up but never watered pot sat in corner for reference

If you want to get technical, you can get the little poke in the dirt hydrometers that will tell you how moist your soil is to watch for it to dry enough to water. I didn't like the cheapy one I tried out, though, and just felt I got better results with a combo of finger poking and checking the weight of the pots by lifting.
I did quite a lot of finger poking back in high school.
Had some good results as well.
I use fabric pots and love em.
