Hey everyone here in the DIY section

as a huge fan of home made grow cabinet I wanted to start a "show-off" thread so people can post pictures of their projects, personally I love looking at grow cabinets and closets and see how people have design theirs, solved different problems and then gotten to enjoy the final results because often those boxes can be a work off art ;)

So here is mine and some short description with it
1.jpg
The cabinet is 110 cm high, 65 cm deep and 100 cm long
3,6 feet 2,1 feet 3,2 feet
It build around a 4,5x4,5 cm thick frame that is also insulated with sound proof rockwool, it sits on 6 legs that have rubber soles and on top sits a 56 liter aquarium to stop it from vibrating

2.jpg
The cabinet has one active air outlet and two passive air intakes but now I have a small wooden frame sitting on to of the right air intake and inside it is a small inline booster fan that blows air up into my air pump that is suspended by rubber bands, keeps my nutrition solution at maximum 22c/72f because the environment inside is colder then the actual cabinet, the frame is then covered with speaker egg crate insulation on the inside and mylar on the sides and top, also lets me run my pump on full power with out creating to much noise

Inside it I have a single 155W LED light and two 65W CFL, a 600L/hour hailea 4 output air pump, a 4" carbon filter and a 4" inline fan inside a insulated box that is connected to a 6" PVC pipe that I stuck speaker insulation in, as long as its more then a meter long it will completely silence the sound of the fan, I am growing in two 14 liter totes I got from IKEA, they are both made out of PP plastic and thick enough to be light prove, only problem was to light proof the top lid but I use mylar for that and under the totes I have 5 cm / 2 inch thick layer of soft foam to kill the vibration going into the cabinet and the floor

I hope I going to see more people post and I am even going to contact some people I know build their own and see if I can get them to post :D

Nice space! Keep it looking unused on the outside and nobody would ever guess it's there. :peace: BTW, check out my DIY thread. The link is at the bottom of this post.

Re-purposed and old dresser. Solid wood Cabinet lined with sheets of Rockwool wrapped in heatshield. Speed controlled inline fan (when combined with a room fan for background atmosphere noise) has fooled people. The inline fan exhausts down, back, and out the cabinet. Tailpipe is lined with thin materials like foam, cloth, whatever until heat vs. soundproof balance is achieved.

Here is my secret garden I got a wall panel on a pocket door track witch hides my happy place. I got 1 teenage boys and another almost teenage boy so I keep it all hidden. I really dont want them to ever smoke but if they do it better be after they are 18 or older. As far as I know they have known idea but you never know. Also it's still illegal for recreational in my state but is legal for medical. I'm not to worried about getting busted only people that know are me and the wife always best to not tell anyone. Even when it is totally legal I will still keep hidden but I do love my secret garden.

Well I’ve got to show off my DIY shed I built in my garage, zero complaints about it so far! Everything works as intended, environment is fairly easy to manipulate on both sides, so I can have high RH and Temps in the seedling side, and cooler temps and low RH in the larger compartment!
