Thanks

You're looking for a light for your tent and im looking for a tent for my light. lol. i am looking at a tent with the same dimensions as yours for my 4 foot, 4 bulb T5. Im not sure what your budget is like but you should be able to find a similar light as mine for about a $100-150, maybe less if you can find a used one. Mine came with bulbs and i buy replacements from the hydro store for around $10 per bulb.

Also, you could start with a 2 foot T5 and then upgrade with an additional 2 footer when you have more money to spend. Just a thought.

Good luck with what you decide on.

what kind of bulbs do you use on the T5?

There a Fluorescent tube mate:thumbs:

Also i started out with a 125w Dual spectrum CFL with a reflector for around £32 or go for the 300w for around £50 :peace:Si

T5 lights are high output fluorescent lighting. The bulbs for my light are 48inch long, tubes like you might find in a standard fluorescent light fixture but they are higher wattage and produce more light (lumens). Here's a pic.

The site where i found this pic has this light fixture for $105

my light is like the one in the pic. they are 4 bulb units and i use a mix of 2 warm (flower) bulbs and 2 cool (veg) bulbs. Other growers use all cool or all warm. i think its just different preferences for different growers. i just feel better giving them a mix of spectrums.

is this what im looking for

Thats all up to you. Research before you buy. Ask questions. This may or may not be the light for you, or the store to buy it from. It sounds like a fair price to me for a decent light, but then there's shipping to factor in and warranties etc. We can help you and make suggestions, but ultimately its up to you to make the final decision to purchase or not.

There are different lights that you could use in that tent. i suggested the T5 because it fits perfectly in that tent and thats what i use as a light. It doesnt use a lot of electricity to produce good results. It doesnt create a lot of heat compared to a lot of grow lights like HID's. That T5 i showed you above would fit squarely inside your tent, which means there would be little wasted, unlit/dim areas of your tent. Other growers might suggest a different light for different reasons. Some may agree with me. It really depends on your needs in a grow light and the size/layout of your tent.
