Hi AFN family. I'm thinking about moving my 2 plant grow into my garage and making it a 4 plant grow with a higher powered HPS as opposed to LED. The heating in my garage doesn't work that well, It doesn't get freezing in there but at night it can drop to 50 F. I was going to keep the light on for 20/4 but would those 4 hours in the cold have a negative effect?

I grow in a room out in my garage and I've had a lot of trouble dialing in my temperatures over the years. I found running my lights 24 hours a day is the best I can keep my environment dialed in and my plants grow just fine at 24-0.

I grow in my small very small trailer living room I have to keep my lights on 24 ,autos love it ,the heat from the hps also keeps my trailer pretty warm during the not so cold but raining Oregon winters ,I also needles to say have a well lit home ,I also grow photos I put em in a dark closet ,letting the autos grow under the lights, this system and setup was definitely different and difficult to figure out but after all things considered, plants grow better ,and a constant grow cycle.

You would be better off running the light around the clock.
