Outdoor Growing outdoors in the Northeast

I know you said you are bolting it to the shed, but another eefective way of keeping it really held down is tie some lengths of string to the top of the frame and tie the other ends to the sandbags, that way it keeps the frame a bit more rigid too. I had a small one made out the same stuff as yours and I kept repairing it and repairing it for 3 years in the harsh wind (I live at the top of a hill, it's always windy) I gave up and built a wooden framed lean to with rigid plastic roofing sheets. Just keep it all tight al round with as little room to move as possible. Peace

Thank you for your advice! And if I get more than a year out of it, well It will have more than paid for it self. When its no longer useable, I too will build a leanto style off the east of my shed. I'll lose a little bit of daylight but most of our wind comes out of the west so the shed blocks the wind. I should have thought of that when I first put up the greenhouse.

U could drive pieces of rebar into the ground and lash the legs to them.

Funny you should say that, I just pounded 8 good tent pegs into ground and ziptied the frame to them. I also put eye-bolts thru the wall of the shed, ( backed with a 2x4 brace ) and used 2-gate clips on each eyebolt, one facing up and one down. pluas the shed blocks most of the wind from the west. Going to get sandbags today and tie the to the upper frame with rope. Should make it nice and sturdy. BTW, after flying about 800feet, not a rip in the plastic!

Nice, I'm glad no rips, is that a harbor freight green house? Hopefully it will hold.
Also how do you like your LED's?

Hey Johnny! I got the greenhouse from Ebay. $69 shipped! I figured it would be a real peice of crap, but its actually very nice for the money! Barring a tornado.............I should get a couple years out of it.
The LED grow light are great! My plants are loving them and the temps have gone down in my grow room. Can't ask for more than that! I may grab 2 more this fall and expand my room to the full 4x8. I'd like to split that in half and have a veg room and a flowering room.

Greenhouse is rebuilt! Now I just need to scramble to replace the lost plants. going to order some autos to fill in for what I lost. I'm considering ordering from Mephisto. Got it partially restocked. Got some more Jalapenos ready to sprout that are foing out soon. Maybe I'll send the Blueberry Headband out also, I'm undecided on that still.
