Have you thought about bending it over in stead of topping it. I've done it before several times and great results makes more branches in to colas. I did it to my royal Queen quick one and it's got 19 colas now instead of 12 and only 24" tall which I could of kept it even shorter had I not stopped training her.

i definitly thought about just using straight lst instead of topping, but i thought that topping it and doing lst would be a littel easier and more manageable for space, i could be wrong. i know one fellow on this forum said he tops his akr all the time and they grow great, so thats what gave me the idea to top then train. plus i figured splitting main cola into two would be easier for me to work with as far as tying things down. im honestly not worried about losing a little max yield as i am a very light user with low tolerance (an ounce would probably last me 3 or 4 months). so was wanting to try the topping this with some lst to see just how tall it would grow. im thinking the 3 gallon pot might be a bit to large for my grow space so i think i might just run a 1 gallon pot for the next grow which should naturally keep the height down and i could probably grow 2 instead of one. im running a vipasoectra 300 watt led (136 watts at the wall) in a 2x2 tent, so i would think that could handle two plants in 1 galon pots.

A buddy uses plastic totes about 8" deep Prolly 5-10 gallon total volume and has excellent results he tops them and does lst on them. Some times runs two of same in the same Tote.

I'm currently trying some 2gal grow bags and have seen some pretty good results from them on here by others.

well thats good to know! its just kind of too bad that i dont have the height available to just let it grow anturally. but i definitly think ill try another grow in 1 gallon fabric pot just to see how it does, ive read of people having great success even in 2 litre pots so one gallon would allow me to grow two plants under my light (although smaller) i would love to figure out a piot size i can use that after i top i dont even have to bother doing anything else and just let it grow, but even i dont know how tall a topped auto would grow in a 1 gallon pot,lol. having to water more frequently isnt an issue for me since im around daily.

Me to if I can't find it here I go there only. I'm sure you could do two of the same or similar strains in ur area and lst a little earlier and make a nice square Evan canopy bub. Can tell by ur posts you have patience and are eager to learn. Couple more grows and you will be knocking them out of the ballpark with ease. I'm gonna go back and look at what your working with a little better since I'm doing something very similar, my area is bigger but have more shoved in it which makes it like urs to the T.
