Indoor Growing Scrog

Seriously, what could happen in worst case? You end up with expirience and - let's forget about pest possibilities for a moment - you'll still have more yield than with other methods.
Never forget, 420autoflower did this a trizillion times. So you as a first timer for the method can't expect same results, yet you do really well AND you asked the right questions. You had a few points , where I had same "overthinking " and "questions " of the 200 pages before and probably dozens of others too. Damn, we are lucky to have 420autoflower guide us through this. So GasPlease, you'll make it! I trust in you and so should you.
this is the attitude! you got this :)

I stumbled across 420's thread just over a year ago. I was a newbie grower. Seemed to me there was plenty of evidence to try the 420 way. I even asked why lots of others hadn't already jumped on board, with exception of DOA, who had basically replicated 420's method. Maybe the fear of super-cropping? Will never know. Anyway, it's great to see others give the 420 method a go! Winner.

No fear over this way. I believe the best way to learn something is by doing it. Ive also wondered why this method isnt being used by more growers. Anyone on the fence or just finding this thread dont hesitate. Its not that difficult only takes some time and patience. If something goes wrong its a lesson not a failure. I started growing at the end of June. These blue cheese Im scrogging are only my 7th and 8th plants.

Stubby got these hands(and pliers) today. Spent 4+ hours working her over. I was rougher this time kind of pushing the limit to see how much I can get away with. I also tried to organize the branches better from the start this round. It wasn't easy though there is a lot going on under that net. She had tons of growth hiding under those leaves.

The other blue cheese has been growing vertical without tucking the main tops for 5 days. Im struggling with defoliation decision making tbh. Theres a lot of canopy which means a lot of decisions about what to take and what to leave behind. My focus has been on keeping the tallest shoots fairly bare to slow them down allowing the rest of the canopy to level out. Ive also been skipping the tuck and going right to removal of big fans that are shading sites. Im not blown away by the vertical growth these last 5 days. Im not sure but I feel like they need more vertical to support those fat colas Im hoping for.

Hey guys,

hope the new year has started off well for all of you! I finally got around to sorting through my pictures today and wanted to share my latest grows with you. I used the usual, well-known techniques on these autoflowers, but this time I pushed the EC a bit higher, keeping it around 1.8-2.0 throughout the entire grow.

Since my last run with the HSC OG Kush Triploid Auto turned out really well, I decided to do a direct comparison between the same strain in its triploid version and the OG Kush Diploid Auto. First we go with the Triploid:

D7 - Been feeding her with NovaMax Grow only, not a perfect start but everything went well.

D59 - Schwazzed her after stretch was over. Fertilizer for Bloom was Canna Aqua Flores.

Compared to my first run with this strain, she grew almost exactly the same, maybe a little bigger and definitely more terpy. Final numbers arent in yet, so I cant compare numbers or quality yet. Overall, the grow was very easy. She takes up nutrients like a champ and showed no calmag issues nor stress from training etc.

Sorry scrog crew. RIP lil stubby. Woke up to her looking like this. Well a little better than this. Im not sure what to think. One of the main branches is half and half.

Sorry for your loss, bro. But thanks a lot for sharing the picture, its really interesting to see. The SCROG actually looks great, and it seems like you used pliers? From the picture it looks like you tried to bend and train the branches directly above the main stem, where the tissue is already quite hard. IMHO, it might have worked better to weaken the branches one internodal space higher, where theyre usually more flexible and easier to bend. Still a really nice plant though, shes definitely going to get big!

Now for the HSC OG Kush Diploid Auto. She started very fast and vigorous at the beginning but began to show some calmag problems early on in preflower stage which didnt really seem to go away over the course of the grow. I tried to adjust by adding 0.2 EC of Cal-Mag to every feeding and got her to finish somehow.

D15 - Added a bent garden wire for LST

On the pictures she does not look too bad, but her little issues lend to really small numbers - about 200g top bud and loads of larf because I left out the under canopy lights. Still a good potential on this strain.
