The picture is one of four plants that sprouted on 4/6/21. They were germinated in Rapid Rooters and put into an RDWC system on 4/11/21. I did one grow in 2017 but they were photos so I don't know much about autos. In terms of seedling, veg, flower, how far along is this plant?

@Delps8 :welcome:Welcome to AFN:welcome:. It is a 16 day old plant. If you are trying to judge your plant against some measure of another plant or quantify it - just look at the plant in front of you. It looks healthy and has a somewhat afgani look but lots of plants change their look as they mature.

How is the root structure?

What do the other 3 look like?

Mañ'O"Green - sorry for the delay in replying. I didn't get an email about your posting.

Glad to be here on AFN - it's great to have a site that's dedicated to autos. I'm an absolute newbie re. autos.

"afgani" - meaning?

"How is the root structure?"
Good. The net pots are < 1" above the res surface and all plants have roots in the nutes.

Overall res view. At the current water level, it uses 35 gallons (I should have bought a small res) and that's a Mars SP 3k so I can dim the output. PPFD just boosted from 320 to 430 for a DLI of about 38 on an 18/6 schedule, EC1.0, pH 5.8 with very little movement, res temp is held at 68º by a water chiller, VPD was 0.8 until today when I changed it to 1.1 which I should have changed last week since the plant is in veg.

Joe's nute issue - spreading very slowlyIMG_3099_M6.jpg

The only issue that I've seen is with that spot on Joe. Any idea what's causing that?

Given that these are autos and given the res above, would it be correct to assume that I have enough room for four plants?

[21 days pass]
Thought I'd throw this out there as a follow up.

Quite a few changes in 21 days! The top of the res almost all covered. I'll be trying to do some LST later today. I'm hoping that will allow bud sites to get light but, per the pix, I don't have a lot of horizontal space left.

The grow is at day 40. The Botanicare feed chart indicates that this is week three of "transition to flower" so the nute mix uses Bloom instead of Grow. At what point should I expect to see vertical growth instead of (huge amounts) of foliage filling in the gaps between plants?

I'm also wondering about pruning. What should I be doing//not be doing in terms of pruning the plants?
