@Doug25 that is a beautiful guitar my friend. Damm i'd love one of those was playing a 314 all koa fall limited the other day and i find taylors really nice to play and a near perfect set up from the factory

Nice thread, some lovely instruments on show.
I only know enough chords to play Beatles songs (and Jazz when the chords go wrong!), but my friend's Dad made these, he bought the necks but hand-carved the bodies on most of the electrics, the acoustics are all bought.
Some of it is too much carving for my liking but it's great workmanship:

@steelrat knowing any more than a few chords is just just showing off lol
Cant say they would be my cup of tea either, but i do really appreciate the skill and craftmanship that went into those, 100's of hours of fine chiseling and sanding.
Would love to make one myself sometime- just a standard acoustic would be hard enough though.

Hey sang, yeah, I love this guitar...plays like a dream. Originally bought this cause I'm a big Dave Matthews Band fan, and this is what he plays. (or did)

The Hagstrom was my friends from childhood. He rebuilt it so I could have it usable and hang onto it. I'm much better at the bass for sure =p.
I paid 150 for that bass at guitar center "used" it must have just been bought and returned shortly after due to payment issues. Or someone had a perfect condition bass and wanted a new one. Love the fastneck love the actives.
