Just figured I'd post this for general knowledge. I just got a Hailea V60. It's a rather high output air pump that gives off relatively little noise and a bunch of heat. I got it off of ecrater recently, without knowing it was a 220 volt unit. It came, I was sad it had the wrong plug shape and everything. I went to RadioShack to get an adapter, but that didn't convert the power from 110v to 220. I went on the web to research if it would be safe to use 110v (many modern powersupplies accept 110-220v between 50 and 60hz). I couldn't find anything saying the Hailea unit supported 110, but learned that 110 shouldn't harm 220v appliances. So I tried it with just the adapter, but also ordered a 220v converter. The unit would run on 110v. I didn't use it long term until I got the converter because I was worried about damaging it, but once I did start feeding it 220v, there was a world of difference. This pump is an utter beast. I'm using it to aerate 20 gallons of water right now, and I'm pretty sure I could double that and it would keep up. 60 liters/min of air is a LOT.

TL;DR - The Hailea V60 220v (which is a beastly pump) will run at 110v, but runs much better at it's rated 220v.
