Indoor Happy Horts Indoor AutoPot Grow

Quick update.

So as I've said before I plan on running my pH lower next grow. I made a noob mistake and ran the pH too high assuming Plagron Light Mix was more like 'soil' but really it's more like 'soiless' than soil

I wrote to Plagron to asking them what pH they advise for the Plagron Light Mix and this was their reply.

"Thank you for your question.

Plagron advises a pH level of 6-6.5 for the Lightmix."

So definitely I'm going to aim for 6.2 - 6.3 pH next time!

I wanted to make absolutely sure what the problem was that I'm having in this grow, so I also wrote to Advanced Nutrients to ask for their feedback. This is what they had to say...

"The Cal/MG + Carboload are not compatible with the pH perfect Sensi Grow and Bloom and will likely be causing issues.

Bottom fed Auto-pots will also lead to an accumulation in growing medium, it would be better to switch to a top down feeding method with runoff.

Your feeding amounts are also a little bit low, I would recommend following the nutrient calculator verbatim.
http://www.advancednutrients.com/nutrient-calculator/ only reducing the base nutrient during the early vegetative phase."

So Advanced Nutrients want me to use double the amount of nutrients that I'm using at the moment :) Surprise surprise. Also they say the carbo load and cal mag are not needed and aren't good to use.

I replied and asked Advanced Nutrients guy then what am I supposed to do about added Cal Mag. He said...

"The Cal/Mg is not needed, you will never see a “deficiency” instead what you are seeing is a lockout due to excess nutrient build-up in the auto-pots."

In all fairness the carboload isn't really doing that well in my Autopot 6mm feed lines (it's a bit too thick and clogging up the Autopot Aquavalves (auto feeding system)) so I think I might give it a miss next grow.

But about Cal/Mag not needed, that's a bit weird... maybe not needed for HPS... I might ditch it and see what happens! :)

Will post up some more pics soon. I went away for the weekend but will be back in action soon.

Hmmm that almost sounds like advice based on photoperiod plants no? Oops about the ph haha, not the end of the world though :)

Yeah I should note that I'm growing photo period plants in this room.

I'm growing new to autos and only growing them in a smaller room next door under LED and RDWC.

Interesting though Anthropolis what part sounded like advice tailored towards photoperiod plants vs autoflowering plants? I'm still new to autos.

Some new flower pics : Oct 29th. Got about 3 weeks to go.

Any comments, especially constructive critism would be great. Next grow I plan on doubling the plants (as usually I'd veg them for longer and top them and super crop and all that, so the space would fill out). This time I just vegged 3 weeks then bloomed, no training or anything, as I'm trying to reduce my cycle time.

So next grow I'll double the amount of plants in there. As its' not clear but there's a lot of empty space in that grow area that buds could be growing in.

Also I'll reduce the pH.

That's about it. EDIT: Actually that's not it. Said it before but will mention it again. Next grow I plan on running 2 nutrient tanks (instead of just the one.) This way I can run half the room with the normal nutrient regime and the other half of the room with a slightly different regime, say perhaps stronger nutrients or something. Then I can see which half of the room turned out better. Exciting stuff!! /end of edit

Always looking to grow the fattest juicy buds possible and loads of you guys on here are far better at that than me. So any critques more than welcome! :)

FYI these are all Photoperiod plants (not autoflowering plants). A real mixture of strains. In here there is anything from Northern Lights, Critical, Skunk #1, Royal Medic and a few other medicinal strains from Royal Queen Seeds that I'm trying out this grow.

Great looking set up HH! Lots of fun to be had in that grow area! All the ladies are looking good and can see you have things getting dialed in. Will hit you up in PM about a few questions. Karma to you and the ladies!:goodluck:
