Just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Hopefully everyone can spend the day with loved ones and enjoy a good meal.
My wife is slaving away on a bird as we speak. This is a very amazing story that I think some will enjoy. My niece is 11 years old. Her mother/ my sister was always into farming and animals, when my niece showed an interest my sister did what she could to get here there. At age 7 she is big into county fairs showing animals and all the contest stuff. Over the past few years she started raising animals and selling them. Last year she started with turkeys. No chemicals or steroids, just naturally grown. The little shit raised a lot of birds. I never knew the cost of them until we talked earlier in the month. She raised dozens of them and has sold out well before thanksgiving at $120 per turkey. I’m not sure if anyone has ever had I guess an organic turkey before but have heard nothing but great things. I told her she needs to start doing payment plants lol.
