Hi Everyone,
I've joined a few months ago, but recently I'm spending more time on the site than initially expected so I did not want to be rude and decided to say hello. I'm a beginner, most what I have learnt is from your posts, which I'm greatful for. The site is really awesome, the quality of information contained is unmatched anywhere else. I like the mood and attitude the mods created here, a safe playground to those who love god's gift
Like many of us in our thirties, I needed a new hobby. I live in a country with liberal stance towards cannabis, so there is no real need for me to grow, but like many have wrote in their intros, this is great fun for a hobby, and there is nothing like smoking what you grew yourself. Although I'm only on my third grow, I can already attest to this - weed from my own tent just tastes better
The first grow I did was a balcony / rooftop grow with the usual beginner mistakes. Three poor plants had to suffer through this learning experience of mine, looking back I'm amazed how they've survived. But they did survive, and managed to produce just enough (3 x 5g) for me to get my lightbulb moment that yes, indeed I've found my new calling
. I dug into the deep pockets of the internet, and came across AFN. Based on information I've collected by lurking around, I ended up putting together a small tent. Not much space in my house, but again, I'm not growing for anyone but me.
Tent is a Gorilla 60 x 75cm. Artificial sunlight is provided by a 140W Plant Photonics LED. My second grow was in a EasyGrow 2-pot 15L system, which ended up root rotting my plants (prob my fault), so now, I'm giving a 22.5L Air-pot a shot. First nutes I've used were from BioBizz, now I'm going to try Advanced Nutes. I'm trying to figure out how to best dial-in my tent for humidity, temperature and light distance, I expect to know what works best by end of this year
My first two attempts were Sensi Seeds' Auto Northern Lights and their Auto Super Skunk. My second grow's two plants did better than the first, giving me total of 87g. I'm now only growing one plant, because two plants were too crowded for its size. This round is a DP Think Different, and my hopes are that it will give me as much as the two plants did in my previous grow.
Looking forward to learning more from you guys...
Thanks!
