hey guys so my amensia original is nearing time to chop but them lower buds just arent filling out :/ im wondering if i was to do a staggerd harvest if i would benefit the plant or just stunt it sevearly. resulting in a waste the time and effort put into this plant.the top cola is ready,i have had constant issues with this plant. the pistols started to brown on week 3 :/ the lower buds are still in development for some strange reason and it is reaching the 70 day mark. i could do with some advice asap it has been flushed for a week due to the nute issues anyway and im debating weather or not to harvest this cola,so the plant can focus on bumping up those pewny lower buds. any advice guys :help: P.S this isnt my first grow so im not just eager to harvest the plant just want to maximize what i have worked for. my thought on it is that the staggered harvest might just stunt the plant further or not benefit me at all.

You could cut the main cola but at this stage I don't no if it will help the lower buds. What do your trychomes look like? Usually small buds are due to not enough light.

the lighting isnt a issues, ive switched over to led and there been baeved by a 600w led light actual draw of 375~400. the buds are airy lower down im guessing it is due to lighting but by me topping the plant this late on its gonna result in all the side branches and soon getting equal if not more light. i think its due to the constant n deficiency this plant has had for the past couple of weeks, the lower buds are airy and unimpressive. yet the canopy of my lst plant is flourishing so it the under growth. this is how i now it isn't the lighting. just not used to dealing with the sensitivity of nutes to sativas i guess, to much love for indicas :P not a clue about the trichs mate, i dotn check hem on autos, i have a rule of when the leaves start to yellow its time for harvest but with this plant that is happening :/ the trichs should be sound by owas it is at70 day mark if not more, just a very disappointing plant had such high hopes for her. the star ryder and ogre are definitely out growing her.

I harvest just about every grow in stages of some sort ... sometimes it's just the top cola, other times it might be two or three colas, maybe one branch or the other ... plant doesn't mind it ... may be too late to improve the yield but it won't hurt to try ...

IF the small buds still have white pistils they might get bigger, but otherwise, it does still make sense to cut the top colas first. You don't harvest all tomatoes on a plant just because a couple of the biggest are already red.

ive always gonna for a solid chop but yeah im going for a staggered harvest this time around just gonna be annoying to dry it all :/

You cut the cola off, the lower buds, will fatten up, youll see a difference after a week:thumbup: I do a staggered chop, cause I dont have a ton of space to hang buds, and in my experience the lower buds have always benefited:D they might have a more amber trich appeal, but they put on some more weight.. best of luck..

thanks yeah, my last harvest suffered awfully under a 250w hps the bottom buds were so airy it was unreal, more leaf than bud :( but the led is working on the other two plants perfectly but there being lst

Styles andswered my question but your worrying me now. I have 300w hps on 3 plants. Thinking I might not yield very much. Goooooooood excuse to get another 600w for my autos. muaha, muahahaha, muahahahahahahahaha

But in all seriousness, do you believe, and others without substantial LST 250-300 w isn't enough for 1-3 plants ?

it all depends on size man, how big your plants are, how bushy your canopy is and bud to leaf ratio. a 250w hps served me well for 6 months but towards the end of its use the buds were airy on the lower branches of the akr. but the top buds were fat ;) ended up with some nice top colas. its down to how you use your lighting man try to maximize it by lst or scrogging if thats not an option try and hang the light vertically that works great :) :Sharing One:
