Hi all i was just wondering about finishing time on autos outdoors the seed bank says 8 weeks does anyone know how much longer they take outdoors i know they take longer but i was thinking like 2 weeks longer from the info iv gotten that's what i have come up with if anyone has and experience with growing autos outdoors hit me back with opinions :peace:

The seed bank times are generally off by about 2 weeks. They base their times on switching from veg to flowering nutes around week 4, while we've learned it's best to wait till around week 6 for maximum vertical growth and the corresponding increased yields. So indoors, 10 weeks is more the norm, with some strains going as long as 11 or 12 weeks. In my experience outdoor plants take about a week longer than indoors. So a strain that the seed bank lists as 8 weeks will more likely take 10 indoors and 11 outdoors.

muddy, you are always spot on! when are you going to publish a book about autoflowers?

At lower temps, such as in Holland here right now. And even during full summer, I've never finished anything earlier than 12 weeks. 13 is average for me. Indoors is a totaly different cup of tea of course.
Never trust a seedbank's claims. They depend on sales, and if one out of thirty phenos is ready at 8 weeks, they'll provide that info as being a fact for all phenotypes of that strain.

Thanks. We had planned on publishing an ebook this past winter but other forum issues got in the way. Maybe next winter when we all have some time.

I would love to have and read this Muddy as well as anything else you had to say I really enjoy and appreciate your knowledge. I have to give you a big :slap: just for being so helpful to everyone. Thank you Muddy

Thanks for the kind words. As much as I'd like to, I'm not in the position to be an activist. So helping others learn how to grow is my way of contributing to the cause.
