Mephisto Genetics Has anybody had issues with Fugue State seedlings?

I jumped straight into coco after a lot of exp with promos. I love coco now that I only grow in it or dwc. Coco is my go to though. Dwc is for plants I plan to force or train heavily

agreed. Consider them the extras that came in the pack.
That’s what I was thinking. The other thought was to put them outside and buy a few more airpots when I get to the store. Problem there is plants outside! Lol. I’ll probably trash them when I get back. Now to flip flop over promix hp+coco or try straight coco. I’ll debate it back and forth while driving there. I’ll see what the shop owner has to say.

Trying to decide on the new promix hp plus coco or do I just make the jump to coco and learn as I go? I’ll decide in store! Lol
Mate, do you homework on coco before making the jump! it's unlike other soilless peat based mixes, and absolutely is unlike true soil! There's a short but critical list of do's and don't's with coco, starting with how you run it-- drain to waste, drip system, more hydro-like methods,... it can grow monsters in small pots, but only if you WORK it- :coffee:..15-20% run-off every feeding, never water alone, right nutes and supp's, different pH range inbetween soil and hydro,...monitor your pH and ppm/EC going in and out,... anyway read up on it here, quiz the fine growers,.. CANNA has a great website with info, etc.,... I'd say at the Infirmary, this is the [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] problem medium, stemming mostly from folks not understanding it's odd CEC properties and not managing it right,... So, just a heads up here,.. once you dial it in, coco is a fantastic medium, a lot of benefits with it....but leaning on the fly is going to be a beating... :deadhorse:

I agree with @Seabass possibly old HP mix, I'm a huge fan of roots organic original soil mixes for autos, or Coco, not one issue with the roots organic germing mephisto beans 100% with 7 so far, imo, botanicals Coco is great to I use it.

Yeah I spent a bit of time this morning reading the stickies and threads on coco growing this morning and I imagine all my free time tonight and tomorrow will be spent doing the same... I just figure this is the route I’d eventually find myself going in so I might as well make the jump now while I’m involved with less space and plants. Wouldn’t want to be learning and having a dozen or so plants to be worrying about.

I haven't tried one yet, but I currently have issues with strawberry nuggets and orange diesel in dwc. Ive really tried to keep everything dialed in but they are turning out to be runts nonetheless.. disappointed to say the least as i was real excited to try these, but I'll try again in another run, and see what happens.

What is the attraction to you to use coco? I say stay away from it unless you have a specific need for it like you have to have larger yields than you normally would. I learned the hard way. I thought it was going to be amazing from what people say about it, but it was a pain in the ass and made for too many issues that I don't want to deal with. So I switched it up and mix in peat promix with coco and perlite and EWC and biochar and some other stuff. I find an amended coco is more forgiving than only coco. Now all the issues I had before don't happen any more and growing life is far less stressful as it should be.

Thanks for jumping in. I have seen and read some of your threads over the past year where you ran into trouble etc. And I’m expecting to contend with many of the same issues. I know it can be very unforgiving. One of the main things that has me wanting to make the switch is the incredible results I’ve been seeing others get over the last few years. I’m currently limited to a 2x4 area and I’d like to make the most of it. I’m also keen on the idea of using smaller pots and still getting bigger yields. As well in the future I’m planning on a larger area utilizing an automated watering system in conjunction with coco and the way I see it, you gotta learn to crawl before you can walk or run. So, I’m using this as a learning opportunity right now to get used to growing in this medium as I plan to really up my game down the road.

The one thing I’m still looking into right now is if my lineup of advanced nutrients is compatible with coco. Many of the bottles have stickers on them claiming to be safe for use in coco but some don’t and I can’t recall if they just came off, or aren’t safe for use in coco. If it means I have to buy a whole new line of nutes or perhaps three or four new bottles of something I’ll probably just go buy a new bale of promix hp and keep the coco bag I bought for future use.

Well good luck bro. I know I learned a lot with my trials. And I could maybe do a grow now in 100% coco if wanted to go down that path. But I'm leaning more the other way with more organics in the mix but still with some percent of coco as well. What I liked about coco is how it is with water/moisture drainage and retention. And I think it works with with autopot airdomes too.
