Mephisto Genetics Has anybody had issues with Fugue State seedlings?

Ok so I’m thinking I’m going to give it a go. I’ve come across quite a few claiming to be using non-coco specific ph perfect line with no issues in their coco grows. Saw it over and over from 3-4 different source sites so I think I’ll try it out

I think its just the base (Sensi and Connoisseur) Grow and Bloom nutrients that have the "Coco" on the label near the top if you got the coco version. I had one AN call center guy tell me the non coco Base versions work great in coco too. so you would be fine no matter what. All the other 30 bottles you have of supplementals etc of AN are not coco specific from what I recall. Just joking but half serious about the 30 bottles. Just seems like AN has so many products they say you have to use. Oh sorry I just checked their website and Big Bud has a coco version too (along with 2 other versions of Big Bud - see what did I tell you about all the bottles they have!).

I have 3 words for you. Greenleaf Mega Crop.

Yep megaCrop all the way forget about the others. As Nd very similar to the AN nute line they even say it on their info pages

Yeah I’m really liking the results I’ve been seeing on here with that line up. Also much simpler to do. That’s the direction I’ll be going in once I use up my advanced nutrients bottles. I probably have enough for a few more grows for sure and I can’t bring myself to toss it out. It’s not like they don’t give results- they do. Just don’t think I’d pay the premium a second time around if a simpler viable option is around

Yep I agree with

Yep I agree with that, I still have some piranha that I use and bud candy, flawless finish, I'm still using up with some photos, I like the piranha and bud candy haven't noticed much difference with using the flawless though.

What is the attraction to you to use coco? I say stay away from it unless you have a specific need for it like you have to have larger yields than you normally would. I learned the hard way. I thought it was going to be amazing from what people say about it, but it was a pain in the ass and made for too many issues that I don't want to deal with. So I switched it up and mix in peat promix with coco and perlite and EWC and biochar and some other stuff. I find an amended coco is more forgiving than only coco. Now all the issues I had before don't happen any more and growing life is far less stressful as it should be.
Not sure that is solid advice my friend. The attraction to Coco is simple. Promix is inferior and unneeded. Keeping them watered more often is the main difference. It is hydro with a medium basically. Coco is amazing, it's not the medium that is an issue. Promix will hold moisture longer, but in my opinion that is just another reason not to use it. Feeding more often will result in better yields and faster finished plants. There is zero benefit of mixing HP and with Coco. Coco is cleaner and will yield better. You feed them the same food basically, slightly different pH. Coco is cheaper and much more eco-friendly than peat. I would not tell people to avoid the best medium out there just because you didn't have success. Maybe you should give it try now that you have more experience. You might change your mind. Good luck. Slow

I feel like growers are way too quick to give up on plants at the seedling stage. Trying to predict 20 weeks into the future based on a few crinkly leaves in the first few days is premature. The DNA is there, the cannabis plant is resilient, use some supplements and give 'em a chance.

All my new artisanals have jumped out of the gate. I’d say it’s the 3 year old promix for sure. A lot can happen in 3 years, even to a “soil” as inert as HP. The wetting agents will become ineffective, ph swings and microbes munching up all your iron and Nitrogen to start. I always chuck any left over medium after 1 year. Best of luck with your new start. :d5:

Or you could use it as some of your base for composted super soil, if you don't just want to chuck it.

Yep hell I've had seeds that I got to try 6 different germination tactics on over the course of two weeks and finally they just magically popped, until it looks like compost I will do anything to keep it. If it seems it wants to live, I was taught. And beans ain't cheap, IMO.

I’d generally agree with you, however in my case I had used this same medium just a few months ago and saw very similar traits. I stuck it out. I harvested excellent quality smoke, but 2 of my 3 plants only grew to just about a foot and the bigger one was 15-16 inches tall. I know it was a smaller strain (Sour Crack) but the grow was stalled for a really long time. As for 20 weeks into the future....? Ummm I’m growing autos and this particular strain has been documented to finish in about 11 weeks. I’d rather use my time and energy to get the most out of my grow and use this as an opportunity to start a new journey; growing in coco for the first time. I’ve been busy lately but hope to start my new seeds tomorrow or Monday.
