As the title says, I’m looking for people who have grown Mephisto’s northern cheese haze. I’ve read the strain info on their site, as well as the few smoke reports posted on this forum and the odd grow journal here and there that I can find around the net.

What I’m looking for is others who have grown this strain and maybe just didnt make a thread for it or maybe weren’t even a member at the time.

I’ve recently gotten my hands on some blue cheese and I’ve got no clue who the breeder was as it’s “street” weed but it has quickly become my favorite.

I’m planning to order the northern cheese haze in hopes that I will enjoy it as much, or at least close to as much. Now of course I know that the obvious answer here would be to find a blue cheese auto and try that, but I want to stick to Mephisto whenever I can so I figure why not try their cheese offering. (I will however be looking at some other seedbanks on Black Friday and possibly be trying the dinafem blue cheese auto so I’ve got something to compare to)

My mind is already made up as far as ordering them, I guess really what I’m asking is for other people who have already tried it to just get me more excited :smoking:

That’s a good question! Northern cheese haze sounds good doesn’t it? I’ve never actually grown mephisto before but Im getting ready to order from them soon and finding something cheesey is my absolute top priority lol.. Hmm i wonder, is Mephisto Port & Stilton cheesy? Or maybe Sour livers? I hope you get some good answers from these nice folks, I’ll be checking back as well!

I currently have one on day 75. Sativa structure. Nice dense frosty nugs. not a whole lot of aroma coming off of her though. I haven't tried the blue cheese yet so don't really have anything to compare it to. Really looking forward to the harvest on this gal though.

That looks amazing thanks for sharing

Did you do a journal for that girl? Really nicely done she’s a monster

I got one free Barney’s Farm Blue Cheese Auto with an order I made earlier this year. It’s still in my seed stash waiting to be popped. I have never grown any of the Cheeses or Livers even though I have both. They’re mighty popular with the growers across the pond - mayhaps they will chime in.

The thing that bugs me about autos from a breeder like Barney’s farm is when you look at the cross it says “blue cheese x ruderalis” like they just crossed a blue cheese with any old auto to get the autoflower trait in the offspring and called it a day. I’m sure it’s more complicated than that but what I’m saying is they don’t strike me as a company that looks to make the best autos they can. When i see that description it just strikes me as them grabbing a slice of the autoflower market as opposed to really trying to make a great autoflower version of the photos they are supposed to be representing. When you look at the dinafem blue cheese auto it’s blueberry auto crossed with cheese auto, which reads to me as a more accurate representation of blue cheese. Again, I could be completely wrong here but this is just how i look at it. If a company that specializes in creating autoflowers rather than just adding some to the catalogue to cash in on the market makes a blue cheese that should be top of the list to try. Mephisto doesn’t have a blue cheese but the northern cheese haze does sound like it could tick a lot of the same boxes so that’s why I’m starting there. I’d love to see how the Barney’s blue cheese works out for you though, I did grow a Barney’s farm triple cheese when I first started out with photos and it was some strong stuff.

I am with you on the description of the genetics being pretty vague and what that could mean (e.g. not a lot of effort put in to achieving the best genetics, cash grab etc). But like you I could be totally wrong. Its just the perception of it all doesnt give me much confidence like Mephisto does. But for all we know, the genetics could be darn good.

you got me thinking I should pick up some of the Mephisto NCA next Friday.
