Hello all, I'm going to give growing a shot. I heard about this forum from the autoflower podcast. I've decided to go with 4x2 tent since I'll be growing indoors. I picked big bud XXL autos to try for my first grow. As for lights I'll be using thrive agritech boost LEDs . I'm still on the fence on soil to use. Sorry for the ramble and I look forward to learning more from this site.

Thanks and happy growing.

Welcome! :) It really depends on your budget,Goal,quality you want and patience level.I would personally recommend organic,buut,I am a little biased I have to admit.Buuuut,I ALSO like my quality as well.And its damned near stupid proof to be honest.And it not too expensive to get started.Or ya can go on the cheap and get bigger plants(or more expensive as some brands of bottled feeds go)with a bit less taste,effectiveness ,and medical and fun properties,like terpene Improvement naturally which is hard to beat.But anyway.Welcome and best of luck in your grow(s).

Hey, and welcome to AFN :welcome:
Plenty of good advice and tips to be found here for a new grower.
The most important thing to remember is 'There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers'
If you don't know or are unsure of something, just ask.
Your choice of soil will be of the utmost importance - remember that most store-bought soils that are meant to support a plant through it's entire life without the need of nutrients (or minimal nutrients) are too strong for Auto seedlings and can cause lasting damage.
Your first grow can turn out to be relatively expensive due to the need to get quality equipment, but that initial outlay will more than pay for itself over time due to getting good yields.
Also, if you ever run into issues or have questions, a picture is worth a thousand words (and will more likely get more responses too - stoners like pretty pictures).

I've been eye balling coco with Gaia green nutrients so I don't need to flush at the end.

Coco is a totally different beast to soil.
As there are no nutrients in CoCo, it is actually classed more as Hydro than soil.

Welcom to AFN Kamikaze_G :welcome::toke:

One of Mr.Canucks fans i take it lol Gaia green is really starting to catch on and can't blame ya for wanting to try it,Using it for the past couple grows and love it :cheers:
I did watch a couple of his videos and it looks like it is a no brainier for ease . Especially for my first attempt. I also watched some of videos from seed to stoned. Now I found this forum and more research is needed. It all seems so daunting as a newbie.

I may have bought too large of pots tho. I purchased 7 gal fabric pots. Can I just roll them down to reduce the size or just go big or go home?
