I forgot to come introduce myself when I first joined a few days ago. I just jumped right into the Outdoor Growing section and have been getting some great advice. So, I figured it was High Time I came and said hello! I grew in California, Oregon and Colorado in the later 80's and early 90's but then quit even smoking for a long time. Lots of friends that smoked and a few that grew but I was straight edge. Not too long ago, though, my wife's health took a bad turn and she got really tired of the medications and having to take pain meds and sleeping pills. She had NEVER smoked but was interested to see if cannabis and CBD would help her. Well... it has! Immensely! Is she cured? Of course not! But some of her symptoms have been alleviated and it's provided a great substitute for some of the opioids; and I found myself enjoying having some flower back in my life. Finding quality flower where we live is difficult and expensive. So, I decided to try my generally green thumb at cultivation again. Wow, have things changed! Now there's the internet and feminized seeds and.......AUTO AUTOFLOWERING strains! Pretty neat stuff! It's been fun getting started again - learning all the new theories and products (and BS, LOL!) and techniques and strains! Back when I was growing it was all trial and error and High Times magazine and, if you were REALLY lucky, you might meet a grower or two that might share some info with you. I just found AFN and it's proving to be a great resource.

Anyway, I wanted to say hello and thank you to those that have provided this great site and that continue to share information with those of us who're less knowledgeable!

Thanks for the heads-up on that Meds section! I'll definitely check it out and I'll probably have my wife check it out and post under my name, lol. She's not computer friendly and I've never been able to get her interested in any forum - she just isn't interested in anything but social media and YouTube, LMAO!

Hey great to meet you and your wife bud!! Hope that weed continues to help with her ailments!! I have an intense upper neck injury and found that canna has helped me more than any other doctor prescribed medicines every have. For me, smoking/vaping is a good distraction, but true pain relief comes with taking Green Dragon Tincture. Making tincture form 190 proof everclear changed everything for me, and for several others!!

Thanks for the warm welcome, y’all! This site has been great. I belong to quite a few forums on a variety of subjects and this forum ranks with the best of them. I’ve tried some other canna forums but they don’t have the number of active, knowledge members who are as quick to reply with the info you need. Nor do they have the warm atmosphere that AFN has. I’m not downing them...just saying how great AFN is. Glad to be here and I hope I’ll have a chance to ‘give back’ as well.

I’ve heard mention of that potion, lol. I need to find the thread on how to make it and I’ll try it for her. Like you, she has some significant spine issues complicated with arthritis. On top of that, she has some serious gastrointestinal issues. She the best and strongest woman I’ve ever known and she’s given me 3 amazing kids. It kills me to see her in this condition after seeing how vibrant and energetic and positive she’s always was. We still have 2 kids in school and she tries not to let her pain show or interfere, but it does. That tears her up more than anything which, in turn, really pisses me off at her illnesses. We’ll try anything at this point. I know ONE day we’ll find the right combination of treatment to get her back to 90%! Thanks for the tip on the tincture, brother!

Look up the green dragon. Also there is a honey Tincture using a similar method but tastes less like alcoholic cat shit lol. Both work amazing. Best with pure bud but there are a lot of good things in chlorophyll too so a bit of green is good too, but it is an acquired taste.
