Welcome to AFN. If you haven't already figured it out, this is a friendly and helpful place. Lots of peeps here that know what they are doing (not me, but I am getting there) and are keen to help new growers along.

Good luck with your preparation and your first grow, and don't hesitate to ask questions.

No idea. I'm just looking around as of now. I know nothing about growing yet. So I have no idea at this time?

Beware the addiction....Years ago when weed was so NO-NO and everybody's butt was in a kink and losing livelihood over a joint, I still had to grow some weed....I slipped a few seeds into a friends 'winter' flower room where plants got minimal care to survive and my friend was surprised when I began smoking the 'flowers'.....
IOW....nuttin' to growing'...some make it so convoluted and rocket science when it ain't nuttin but puttin a seed in the ground and smokin a doob or two....

I will be the first to offer up a suggestion.

Avoid blurple lights!

My first light was a 315 watt CMH, its still a damn decent light. But LED is your best bet in the long run, Quantum boards or Cob lights.
