Gone to water my girls and pull a plant out and see a number of what I think are thrips? They don't fly just seen a few walking over the leafs? How do I treat this? Was gonna buy neem reppeal I think it's called? Also not linked I don't think but I've got one girl really light green yet appears to have nute burn from where I upped the food for her due to looking pale?

I did not have good results with neem oil for them myself on my outdoor grow. what killed them f***ers was ed rosenthal's ZERO TOLERENCE. spray under and over. top to bottom every three days, after three apps, then once a week til flower. then spray around and on the soil. put iit in the water. and put an inch of sand on top of the soil so the larvae cannot breath

Eek

I'm pretty sure it's thrips notice little bugs on the leafs walking around also appear to have silvery looking dots on the leafs as described when thrips. I'm week 5 with my think different so already starting to flower. Will they eat my bud ect? I'm gonna be reading n ordering tonight something to kill these fuckers it's made my grow room feel dirty and I'm almost scared to go in there lol

That's one of the best ways to confirm the pest. :/ <EDIT> They eat the sugar leaves, not the buds themselves, but they'll eat the fan leaves first.

If you want to get rid of them fast, set up the sticky traps and get something with Imidacloprid this is the strongest pesticide to kill thrips, but it's pretty toxic to humans as well, read up every precaution on using it.

Something that isn't too toxic for mammals but deals with thrips would be something with Spinosad.

Regardless of their toxicity, I would never spray a flowering plant with pesticides.. but that's just me. None of that shit is worth ingesting, not even neem oil.

So if I can't spray my plants because their flowering what can I do to remove thrips? I'm gonna be pretty pissed off if I end up loosing a crop due to this after waiting all this time.

Well, some people won't agree with this.. but when I got white flies (like thrips) late in flower, I started foliar feeding (not really foliar feeding, more like showering my plants) with plain pH'd water (never before a dark period) because it drowns them. I put up like 5 Fly strips... but the best and most dangerous thing I did..

Was hang two Hot Shot No-Pest Strips in the tent (2x4). These things are pretty toxic and most people wouldn't agree with me recommending them as some people say they're extremely dangerous.

If you have more than two weeks to harvest I'd use them. Put them up for 5 days and pull them out. Don't go in the grow area for more than 15-30 minutes in a 4 hour period.

Mine were pretty much all gone after about a week of this.. but some may not agree with the use of the Hot Shot product.

The idea of putting more bugs in to kill the thrips isn't for me as my tents in my bedroom I don't like the idea of bugs running around. I'm thinking use an organic spray or something as I'm only just entering flowering? I'm a missable git and like everything to run smooth gonna be pissed off and not sleep properly now knowing I've got a problem.

Ahh, the grow is in your bed room. DO NOT USE THE HOT SHOT PRODUCT! I donno man, it'll hurt the yield a bit but how much longer you got to run?

the sb will be fine just be thankful you dont have spider mites
