LOL this will probably make me look like a retarded noob (wich I am BTW) but I cleaned up my tent a bit tucking leaves and cleaning some dead/yellow stuff.. now I'm itchy as hell my palms are getting red and they swell. Even touched them with my forehead as I was leaning for some plants in the back lol, so what you guys reckon works best for this, I noticed I manage to get the stickyness better if I wash with cold water but the itchyness doesn't seem to be affected, I feel like I got the plague. LOL yea I'll put some gloves on next time but for now what can I do? :D

^^^ idiot :D

never come accross this before, hope you're not allergic to weed!!

are you growing in your loft??

dildano, best of luck with that shit! I work in healthcare and I have met people before who ARE deathly allergic to marijuana. I'm assuming that you have smoked more than a couple of times seeing that you have your own grow. Take note if it is a new strain, new fertilizer, new PH solutions. Also if you start feeling like you are getting hoarse, go to the hospital, as this is indicative of upper respiratory swelling and could cause death. Try taking a benadryll / diphenhydramine and see if it goes away. Hope I could help..

nah it's not that bad, I just showered for 10 min and I'm already better, but I thought this is more common really, looks like its just me and this guy talking about it on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vwPGYJanr8
it's a powerful itch almost close to burning. I can only imagine it on my private poarts like that guy says on youtube lol I better not masturbate till I'm done with my grow :D :bong:

Personally I dont think its as serious as this, but I could be wrong.

In my opinion, im guessing your groom is in your loft, and the yellow fluffy stuff you find in lofts is the loft insulation. Its made out of loads of fibre glass fibres that are matted together to trap air. Anyway those fibre glass strands are very strong and sharp and basically the ends 'prick' you and thats what causes the itching.

There are two good cures to stop the itch of fiberglass:
Pour milk right on the part that is itching with the fiberglass.
Rub on some Cortisone cream (Cortaid)
You can also take a cold shower and use cheap hair conditioner to rub on your skin. The rinsing off of the conditioner removes 98% of the fiberglass

also if it is fibreglass, then sweating whilst being exposed to fibreglass will cause the itch to be more intense because it opens up your pores.

nlsp, no man, I don't grow in a loft it's in my work room, in a tent all clean and yellow stuff its old fan leaves dying in late flowering... but the itch is verry similar to the one produced by fiberglass indeed, I been lucky to taste that too a few times.. Anyways you are right I don't think it is anything serious like an allergic reaction, more like an irritation.. I just did a cold(er) shower and rubbed well with a sponge the affected areas and I'm better now. Still as I said I am a bit surprised this is not more common. I'll ask my gf when she gets home if she's got one of those creams too, she has a million creams hehe :D
