Indoor HELP!!! My stealth cab is reaching temps of 95 to 100 degrees with Apollo 6 LED!!!!!

Thanks for the REP bro!!! WHOOO HOOOO!!! If i cant get the humidity up by bloom time, I have a heat mat and a humidity dome i can use and fill with water next to the pot to produce humidity using just the tray for water without the lid. Ive got my setup running full blast for the next 24-48 hours with just the soil mix in the pot to warm the soil and get use to the box as Briman suggested to me recently. Tomorrow i will put a bean in a small glass of water and wait to sink. Im only going to do 1 bean at a time for now, but still deciding between a Lowryder #2 or a Delicious Northern Lights Blue. Any suggestions bro?

:Sharing One:

What is the max temp I can go inside that box ThinkDifferent without killing my baby? I heard 90 degrees

Im feeling really confident this time around doing a soil/organic grow rather than a DWC like the 1st time around. Im realllyyy thinking of dropping (2) Lowryder #2 beans in the cup of water tomorrow and saving the Delicious Northern Light Blue for round 3. IDK yet. LOL. WIll ponder that thought between now and tomorrow. LOL

Thanks for the pics casper your little stealth cab looks good. Where is the exhaust port? Is it in the back of the box? Also what about your extraction fan? Is it possible to tell us the exact make and model of it? Can you show us a couple of pics of that?

See I'm thinking your extraction fan just isn't powerful enough. Definitely you need to leave the windows open a crack especially when you are not in there because the plants will quickly eat all the CO2 in the room when you're not in the room breathing and creating CO2.

Regarding temperature I try to keep mine under 84 degrees F or about 28-29 degrees C maximum. Any more than that and it slows down grow and higher still can end up killing them. You've opened the window and that helped a bit, look into getting a couple of brackets and drilling them into the window frame and the window sill and making it so the window is permanently open a crack and someone can't come along and just open it by hand and jump inside from the outside.

By cracking my window a bit. Ive got room temps down to 77 degrees F. Seems to be working so far as far as getting bedroom temps down. :dance2:

You see if your EXTRACTION FAN were able to replace the air in your cab every minute, then you're grow cab would be more like 77 degrees F.

So tell us about your extraction fan. Probably it's not good enough and there in lies your problem.

I've messed around with little cabs before and came into the same problem. Judging by the first pic, your intake vent and exhaust port are on the same side/wall of the cab.

I'd recommend putting the intake vent on the other side of the cab, at the bottom on the "floor". This will create a better airflow and mixing of air across the whole cab, rather than having it sucked in one side, with the airflow simply going straight up, and not mixing. I'm sure the small fan inside has helped, but it could be better, for sure.

(edit) I noticed that the LED setup has all the transformers inside the rig... it's too bad none of these manufacturers can make a rig with the lights and structure to go inside, but with the transformers/voltage regulators outside on a lead...

Also the fact that his out take fan duct goes straight out the back then the duct gets turned a full 180 degrees to face out the front. You'd be better with the out-take going out the left side of the cab. Or straight up through the roof. Every time you make a corner in ducting you're reducing the efficiency of the airflow. mjc makes a point too, the way your intake and out take are laid out isn't the best way to do it. You ideally should have the intake and out take on opposite sides of the grow space. These two points combined with a possibly under powered extraction fan and you've got yourself a problems with a solutions.

Thanks guys. I wish I could post a pic of my extraction fan and give the specs, make and model. I got it off of EBay about a year ago. I cant log into my past purchases because im currently suspended from EBay. I appreciate all the helpful info from you HH and MJC. I think I just didnt wait long enough after running my cab yesterday for the first time. I over reacted cause I was impatient. LOL. Just woke up and checked and now have it at a consistent 80 degrees F, and 40% RH "pher Wiggle"

i definitely cant rig the ducting through the roof cause its not my house HH. Shit would def hit the fan here if I did that. LOL... Anyways. I am about to calibrate my PH and PPM pens and drop a LowRyder #2 bean in a small cup of water, and place it it a dark place on a germination heat mat. Wish me luck AFN family. Once she sprouts I will be starting a grow journal.

Sorry Casper I should have been clearer. I mean't the ducting out of the roof of the grow cabinet. If you can make a hole for your outlet fan in the roof closer to the front of the cab it will be a better configuration that you have right now.

Because heat rises so having it right on the roof makes more sense. Secondly it will make the distance between your intake and out-take further which is better. You always want the intake and out-take to be in separate sides of the grow space.

The intake is staggered slightly centered and to the left of the cab. The extraction fan is as far to the left of cab as I can get it which is how i was told to set it up last year. I just really dont wanna have to do anymore cutting into the cab. I already had to patch up 2 holes on back of cab box from where I had 2 computer fans during my 1st grow which was DWC and an epic fail. Also I HAVE TO keep all my equipment INSIDE the box to make it stealth. Like I said before. This is not my house. I am just a caretaker for the property bro. So I have to be stealth like a damn ninja while doing this as much as possible. Its staying consistent with temps of 82 degrees F and 40% RH bro. Im looking good now. Its been consistent ALL DAY long. The big thing that helped was aiming the ducting away from the back of stealth cab. I just dropped my Low Ryder #2 bean into a small cup of water and have it on a heat mat covered with a dark towel. So I will be starting my grow journal tomorrow hopefully, as soon as my lady drops to bottom and sprouts a root. :dance2:... Just trying to determine whether to post my journal in the indoor growing section, or the micro growing section. I feel as though I'd get more journal attention in the indoor growing section.
