Old Reviews help odor control

I'd hate to state the obvious but have you considered switching to led after a couple of grows?

Odours are carried by warm air lifting particles and carrying them as it rises, anything from a fart to a hot corpse, so logically the less heat you have in the first place the less particles get carried to your filter I'd presume.

At some point I will be going led but in the winter time up here I use my tent as a space heater as well haha worked really freaking awesome this last 6 weeks.

But Goin by your statement I wonder what would happen if I put my filter on the color of my tent :p would be drawing cooler air so in theory less smells. Thoughts?

Hi freedom4all,

Just came across your post regarding carbon filters on the Mephisto Genetics 2015 thread! Can I back up what Mitch said about 'Rhino' filters.

"Hi, I don't know the availability in the states but in England there was a brand called 'rhino' for carbon filters, their 4" ones were at the higher end of prices around 80 usd but could be picked up on eBay a little cheaper.really found them good, we have some that are 4 years old and still are functioning well."

They are very good! :check:

http://www.humboldtwholesale.com ------used to/may still be a stockist in the US, they seem to have plenty of stores they supply in the mid west. Maybe a clearout bargain to be had?

I use Bio-Bizz Fish Mix which F in stinks! Ten mins full blast on the extractor fan thru the Rhino and my tent is sweet!

Hope that helps?

:peace:

So while looking for filters today I came across mountain. Air and holy crap 300 plus buck and 55 pounds and 40 inches long I don't even think my tent could hold the weight lol

So it looks like phresh is as good as I'll be able to do :/ now since my fan moves 450 cfm will the 550 cfm filter be the best bet? Just want to make sure I order the right one

Also it sounds like if I'm pulling 450 cfm through a 550 cfm filter that I should be good to go and it should perform better because I'm not pulling the air as fast correct?

If you're pulling 440cfm through a 550cfm filter you'll be pulling air through faster than with a smaller filter but that's a good thing as your fan won't need to work as hard, possibly enabling you to turn it down a bit if you've got a fan controller!

No fan controller here lol yes I know I'm lame

So what size filter should I get?

Get the 550cfm one, it'll be great!

Awesome thanks could I get a couple more to confirm that? Nothing against you bilbo but I'm an American and we like to vote on things lol seriously brother only joking.

As an idea of how my luck is going I was going to pop another lemon haze seed in the ground try and get one more plant in before the season is over and we'll I dropped the damn thing in the carpet fawk

Can confirm, phresh makes an awesome filter and mine has lasted a long time. It's always a good idea to go overkill on filters, not only will using an oversized one make it last longer, it works better. Phresh for the win.

Alright so the 550 it is :) I'll probably be ordering by Friday does anyone know the best deal? Seem them for about 160 on amazon and 140 at grow wurks plus I have a $15 gift card for grow wurks as well east west hydro was about 130 and 25 for shipping i think
