New Grower Help please diagnosing this yellowing

OK. I thought you had mentioned its wide girth so I was picturing the other one. I should probably pick one up......

I had but only because it is a huge instrument....and the diameter of the probe is much larger than the cheapo 2 prong units.
It's long and skinny in comparison to the 7 :)

When you poured 6.5 in and got 5.8 out, according to the formula: you have 5.1 soil. The only reason I can think not to trust it is that you apparently use a color-matching ph kit(?). But, with the problem you're having it sounds like the problem is in that direction.

Thanks for all this advice. At this point I have to measure how much remediation I can do. I got here because I flushed when I didn't have to because i saw purple on my plants and figured if it's a P deficiency and the plants are in flowering if I'm going to get a good yield I have to get them some P and flushing would eliminate salt based lockout possibility and could do no harm. My PPM were so low that was not the case anyway. If it's ph based lockout I think I'll get a decent meter (I actually have one that reeks) and if it actually works compare the result with the runoff result to substantiate the efficacy of using runoff ph as a guide. Now, and here's my Waterloo, I might top dress with dolomite lime. Again I'm assuming this step can only be beneficial, can moderate the ph in the soil gently and can do no harm. If there are potential side effects to dolomite lime now would be a good time to reveal them.

Meanwhile, I gave a feeding Thursday night CaMg, Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom, and a tsp of some whacky thing called Boomerang. If the soil conditions are right and she harbors no hard feelings against me for my rough treatment she may eat. This morning she looks no worse off. I'll leave her be for the weekend. Oh, and here she is with her little sister who didn't get but 1 gallon and flush, smaller but greener (evidence that the timing of the flush with the yellowing.View attachment 356221

I think their looking fantastic....

you really don't have too long to limp them along until they are ready anyway....:)

I think you are going the right direction and soon will be needing to initiate a full flush anyhow.
