I am still learning and should have looked here before planting. I germinated 14 seeds, 6 super skunk, 6 white haze, 2 pakistan ryder. They all looked ok when i transplanted them but 8 have died after reaching a couple of inches.

Of the ones left only 3 have grown, very slowly, and the rest seem to be just sitting there, not dead but not growing. I have had look on here and i think it is because i transplanted straight into biobizz all mix. I have read on here that it may be too strong for them.

Is it too late to get some kind of rescue formula, my local shop sells a number of "root feed" solutions. Is it worth trying that or is it a lost cause?
I have them under a 600 hps about 18 inches from the tops and they are not burning.
Although the soil is very warm, it is difficult to check for water by putting my finger into the pot as it may disturb the root so i am giving them a small spray a couple of times a day. Am i wasting electricity leaving them any longer.

They went under the light on October 6th
thanks everyone

if they are auto's they should start in a nuteless grow medium, at least for the first two weeks, we need more info!

I would have to respectfully disagree, light mix or a light fed soilless but not nuteless

allmix is to hot to directly go into you might getaway with a peat puck first or a hole filled with light mix

Thanks, i know now not to put them into allmix after germinating. Will they recover? they are not dead but dormant, would a root feed help?
cheers

Obvious any chime in if they have better advice but i would not feed let them settle to see if they pull out of it
it could just be a slight shock until they adjust
also pull the light up to at least 2ft (24-29") your quite low for seedlings and even established plants in veg

19" is for a plant in full bloom and will cook most seedlings long as heat is ok so you would work to that distance over 3-4 weeks

i do not agree with agito, about starting from germination to the first two weeks they need nothing. just water, but to each his own! i star my seeds in peat pellets, they have nothing in them but peat! yet the geminate, and grow very well! the tap root comes right out of the bottom, without any nutes.
i can truthfully say i have never lost a seedling. or a plant.:2cents: agito is a very good grower!:D and everybody has different methods, my advice is to approach all advice with and open mind and look at it in a logical manner and you will be able to pick whats good and discard whats not!:toke:
kudo's to agito! for hopping in to help! :peace:

Thanks everyone, i have raised the lights to 2 foot. For my next grow if i use jiffy pots, once thay are sprouted can i put them straight into the biobizz, they have a net around the jiffy pots, do the roots just go through? Also how long should i give it on the dormant plants? I will try to post a picture tomorrow.
cheers

Thanks ast you will have to double check put i think pellets contain trace elements but regardless do give the seedlings a small needed buffer until going into a hotter compost
I mention this is when i have grown is rockwool which is 100% fert free seedlings do not last long in there unless dosed with 1/4 strength solution

I use pellets as well but mine are in the next media within 7 days mirroring Astros advice also so its not to dissimilar

we are on about pellets here not pots as this could slow an auto down

pellets have the net if your bothered just cut a hole in the bottom of the net like i do after expanding them

give them another week or 2 all autos are slow to start off anyways they like to get the roots deep first
