Help! Something is eating the canopy

... :toke: SS-- did these markings come out of nowhere on a mature leaf? They look older to my eye, with those yellow margins; are the markings raised up a bit, or are my eyes tricked?... earlier damage maybe-?, which can grow out oddly sometimes... That said, this isn't thrip damage, not with actual holes, only a larger bug could do this, and the rest of the damage doesn't look like the surface stippling that thrips leave from all the piercing of the cuticle... usually, it's certain caterpillar species or even earwigs that eat holes in leaves like that, but again, the margins don't look right for this... is it on only 1 or two leaves? This isn't a nutritional issue either,...

You're probably right about it being a certain caterpillar.
Caught one of them buggers just now. Have any idea what it might be and how to get rid of 'em?
More and more leaves are getting damaged by this bug...

-- and of course, they don't fly!...are those wings, or juices on the left? I can say that nothing that flies and eats holes would be that small,...

It must be whats eating the plants. They're fast little green flies.
I put up a yellow sticky agent, other than that i'm not really sure what can be done...
I appreciate the help

it's not the flies mate, trust me,... they don't have the mouth parts for this and are way too small,... I'm still leaning toward earlier physical damage that's goten more ragged as the leaf filled out and matured, unless it appeared suddenly and you're sure of it :smoking:
