Live Stoner Chat Help with cobs

ok gents I’m drying right now and need to buy some new low heat lights for the summer .my HPS will cook everything lol I’ve been looking at cobs from the cobshop they have soo many amazing reviews I just wanted to see if anyone hear is using them and could help with some advice. are they worth the outlay? also if anyone could help with how many I’ll need for my awkward shape grow room please , it’s 8ft long and it’s over 2ft wide also what type of cobs I noticed a few different ones , any advice is helpful guys TIA

Love my COBS. Wouldn’t have bought anything else. 5 oughta run you but you could start with 3. I’d get 3 3500k and 2 2700k and stagger them. A cob a plant is always a good rule of thumb. The light is awesome, and when you factor in utility costs, it’s a no brainer.

Here I’ve got 6 covering a 6x5 footprint, a little more coverage would be ideal but the ladies don’t seem to mind. Because you put one wherever you want, it’s so easy to adjust coverage and height.

I was thinking of 4 too start with well that what was in my budget . Your set up looks great btw what else you growing in there other then bud ? I’ve had veg plants scattered around my mj plants for few weeks now lol getting ready for the summer

Thanks! Just getting my feet wet with hydro and loving it. Shocked that my marijuana plants actually came out OK, so i figured I’d try my luck with a bunch of stuff and see what works. I’ve got the lettuce kale cucumber onion chive beet kale tomato snap pea green pepper strawberry experiments running now — and last week I added a little blueberry bush we’ll see what doesn’t die

That’s amazing everything you have growing in the I’m actually doing aswell lol my veg room is literally full of vegetables .

Can any you guys give me some advice please, the cobs I want are not sold to the uk so I’ve been looking online with my limited knowledge of lights still rocking a 600w hps (too hot for summer ) . I found a light that was recommended by someone could anyone let me know if it’s good enough or worth the money? Ill post a pic and an item description with this

Looks like a DIY. That could be very bad, or it could be very good. It’s a good shape for your grow space now, that’s for sure.

It’s definitely a diy he sells loads of variations of them and has very good feed back , what about the light ability do you know if they would the give me as much yield a quality as my hps I know nothing about led

I don’t know nothing about hps, total noob, but I think that light might be as good as and some will say better than the COBs ...
