Also you mentioned not filling the bucket to the top...yep!
I liked to not only leave an inch or two from the top, but place my well-rooted cut/seedling about 5 inches deep into the bucket, and "mulch" 2 inches or so above the root level with perlite, rubber mulch, whatever. Coming from a soil background, I just don't like roots at the soil/watering level...
quick update........ one of my girls didnt make it .....it was the one that cracked cotyledons first and my 7th seed crack today witch makes it 5 days younger then the rest of them also it didnt realy crack the tap root looks like it just drilled it way out.....anybody ever seen that if so what do you think her chances are.....headpiece kept the tips coming good stuff
