New Grower help with nutes

hi. im totally new to this and was wondering if anyone could tell me how much i should feed autos grown in soil? IM USIN BIO BIZZ SOIL AND CANNA NUTES. WHAT LIGHT IS BEST. 200W VEGGIN for 16 hours or aaa 400w hps on 12/12? this is what i have already set for my other girls. ive looked for this info but cant find it anywhere, imnot beibg lazy i just have a problem with eyes and cant see properly....any advice would be gratfully recieved

the general rule of thumb regarding feeding autos is to start at 1/4 reccommended strength and increase slowly if the plant responds well.

As for lights, an hps or any other suitable grow light will work. Most grow their autos under 20 hours on 4 hours off (20/4) but some use 18/6 or 24/0. 12/12 will work but some have found that it decreases yields.

yes definitely and i should have added that. no feeding for the first 10-14 days of their life...longer if your soil has nutrients in it

If you dont amend it you need to start aas soon as day 5 with some strains.

I'm gonna give this a go, I do however have some reservations about autos. I have a pal that tried them and he only got about 3G per plant! Before you all start sniggering ( I know I did ) the fella knows how to grow, photo periods at least, I've seen his set up at various stages of a grow and it's everything it should be. He says he usually runs an nft so he did the autos in 5L pots of soil. Can anyone tell me why this is if EVERYONE else is getting bucket loads off their plants? I have bio bizz soil, light and all mix, a 200w cfl on 20/4 and a 400w hps on 12/12. I intend to start them off under the cfl then move them under the hps once they get too smelly (I only have one carbon filter and limited space). Please tell me I can expect to get a better return on my time than my mate did!
