Hello!
I'm growing a regular white widow and a Berry Ryder (auto)
White Widow is 3.5 months old & should be ready next month at 29th. (6 weeks into flowering)
She is yellowing quite a bit and losing 1-3 fan leaves a week.
Due to late training, only her top is impressive, from the 5th node (or so) down she is pretty much helpless.
This is also a lesson for me that shows that CFL's just dont bring the bread. The light is 210~w and only the top gets it.
Anyway, I started a recovery treatment for her, got Biobizz's Algamic (instead of Cal Mag, which the local hydro shop ddnt had) and a pH up.
Overall she is recovering well but I wanted to ask, should I approach her with a certain method? I pluck the easily removable yellow leaves, up to a point where it almost look like a defoliation! Now if she was healthy, I would definitely take it a step further and defoliate her, but.. What would YOU suggest?

The Berry Ryder.
Ahhhh... She never disappoints. The smell is just.. AMAZING! Never ever encountered a weed that smells as good as her. I grew this strain at my first grow, 3 of em. This reminds me the fun I had with very little problem.
My chart shows that she is 12 weeks old. Im really not sure about this but, here, take a look.
(The berry rider is receiving 12/12, she's in the same room with my ww)

No cam so phone cam, you cant see it but the berry ryder is full with trichromes and the ww is getting there

I came up with an idea, to maximize the white widow's potential, I'll leave only the canopy so it will be the only part that receives nutrients, all lower branches that will turn out to be popcorn buds and yellowing will be removed.

I will try to leave some higher branches and see if they get bigger buds
The bud sites look healthy, overcoming the hot weather.
Bottom part is pale, and not receiving enough light.

Hey Blessmesome!

Hows it going! It's looking pretty good in there! Is this a first grow or a new setup for you??
Seems like we could do with some love in here ^_^

I'm gonna drop a message for some of the guys to come a take a looksie with you!

Need anything??

(Just a tip - I'd hold off on the scissors for now! Most autos don't like that kinda training - with photos you can get away with it by giving it repair time - but you dont get repair time with an auto -it's more on a tick-tick-tick-readdy schedule :) )

edit: duh - sorry. The White Widow is a photoperiod (as you said lol)

Ignore that! :)

Double edit - Let me get you your (overdue) badge

Thanks for the love guys! ~love back~
I am actually waiting for the new growroom design, will happen somewhere at the begining of 2015
It will be a surprise :) {will have sweet strains}
Thanks for the badge yo!

And this is my second grow, gonna try to bomb the place with cfls
also this grow was supposed to be trained with the nugbucket method. I postponed it until it was a bit late had 7 nodes or so and due to time, decided to lst it.

I would love to get Smell-o-vision on the Berry Rider. It sounds so cool.

That is a cool grow there pal. Keep on keeping on......

eP.

Hi Blissmesome, looks like things are going ok for you. With the yellowing leaves on the WW have you checked your run-off pH to be sure your soil is not pushing pH out of the set spot? I will sub to your thread if you don't mind so I can watch the berry ryder. Love the berry strains.
Happy Growing

Hey!
Blissme! How are you my friend?! Long time since I see you here. (Mostly me not paying attention, heh!) Glad to see you have another garden, nice choice of strains too! I'm subbed up and looking forward to your progress! Here's a hit of :karma Cloud: for good luck!
Peace and happy Growing!

Oh yea she smells awesome. Best smelling bud I ever got!
wwwillie.. your grow.. Never seen anything like that before.. My eyes are melting in the orange and red

pfffio.. needed a moment to snap out of it
Im planning to grow a purple trainwreck, kosher kush and lsd or think different. Only after I get a decent HPS though.

Im not sure about the defoliation. I mean, on one hand, it might be the best choice, will really shape her up.
on the other hand, I never done anything like that, and not sure of the result. +Don't wanna miss the whole plant!
What would you say?

I did it. ill give her some time to recover and ill post some pics tomorrow*. Lets see how she'll progress
