Helloo. Wondering if anyone could help? I'd like to build a COB light for a small space.

I'd like the light to be as powerful as possible & with the highest efficiency possible. The small space is 50x55x170cm. I don't want to be drawing any more than 90w from the wall. I was thinking possibly getting a Mean Well ELG-150-C1050A which would allow me to expand at a later date if I wanted, also has dimming which I'd possibly need as Im not sure how close you can have the COBs & dimming would help??

Any clues as to what COBs/reflectors to go for & how many etc? I'd also like to use passive heatsinks but not sure where to find these in the UK - the passive ones on eBay don't state any sort of wattage that they can cool so not sure about these.

Thanks for any help whatsoever :):smoking:

Depends what you have available I guess and what your budget is. Id skip the reflector and just mount a single cobs to a radial fin heatsink with an adjustable driver. Something like http://www.meanwell.com/webapp/product/search.aspx?prod=hlg-120h the hlg-120h-54a with a clu058 gen 6 3000k cob and a mechatronix heatsink would do well I think... Skip the reflector and use a BJB cob holder, has mini reflector built in and paint the walls flat white or use reflective material, hang it on a string so you can move it up or down as needed.
