New Grower Here we grow(first grow ever)

So after being a long time lurker on here I finally decided to become a member. This is my first grow ever and I'm only trying to grow two plants to start out with. One is a flash jet47 regular seed and the other is a royal queen NL fem. I have 7 other jet47 regs just in case of a mess up. Well my area is about 3ft by 2ft by 5 ft and my light is a 150w hps. Started the seeds in party cups filled with jiffy organic seed starter. After 3 days of being above ground the roots were already at the bottom so I went to the hydro shop were I was recommended roots organic green fields and that's where they have been for about 24 hours. Let me know what you think. I forgot to mention that the guy at the hydro shop said this soil wouldn't burn my plants. But they have a lime green color to the first leaves is this normal? And I also gave them a liter of water apiece yesterday but don't have a ph meter yet could that maybe be the problem? I let it sit for24 hours before giving it to them

looking nice for maximum benefit keep posting pictures of them so that if something seemswrong there will be people to help - note that I have my first grow running on this blog and the posters saved the lives of my precious girls - a couple even looked dead but miraculously came back to life after a few days growing new healthy leaves to replace burnt ones

Sounds like a nice sutup you got goin. Everything looks good. : ) everyone here tells me that ph is pretty important so having a way to test should be top priority. Best of luck to ya!!

Thanks for stopping in guys good luck with the rest of your grow. Yea goauto I don't really know what I was thinking this should have been one of my first purchases. I was looking at a digital ph meter for around 9 dollars, does that sound reliable?
